Q: Do these boots have steel toe caps?

No they don't. They are a heavy duty agricultural wellington boot. But they are of a very good quality.

Q: Do these boots stand up on their own, please, or ‘flop over’ ?

These boots do stand up on their own. Only gripe I have with them is I've had to put some insoles in them. As there is a 'crease' of material on the foot beds, that may of led to blisters. I am a size 12 and size 12 fit OK.

Q: Can anyone tell me the measurememt around the top of the boot, I have large calves and really stuggle to find boots that fit

42cm. That is inside the top and I am also blessed with generous calves. Not much room to spare though, which I appreciate when jet washing. Always comfortable in these size 10s. Mike

Q: I'm normally size 11 and am not sure whether to buy a size under here? Any advice would be appreciated

I'm a size 12 and I bought a size 12. However, I tried them on and there was a ridge of material under both my feet, which would of lead to blisters on the balls of my feet. So, I've added some decent insoles. They seem to fit ok. But I've only worn them once in the garden. So, I haven't had a chance to fully test them ie walking some distance or in water.
