Excellent...
I've seen the reviews. "My grommets on the flag are too big" . "I doesn't work the way it's supposed to" "I wanted a silver ball and they sent me gold" 1. Unlike the reviewer stated, 95% of flags don't have bigger grommets than the pole's bottom holder can handle. I have five different flags I fly for various occasions and they come from different companies. I haven't found one yet that doesn't work with this pole. If somehow you have that problem, it couldn't be simpler to correct. Just slip a washer over the pole bottom ring's little screw. 2.If you don't attach the bottom ring (which for the person who reviewed they "didn't get anything to hold the bottom of the flag but just two rings" to the revolving top section, it doesn't work. The bottom will then be anchored to the unmoving bottom part of the pole and, of course, it doesn't work. Just be sure when you have the ring in place that it revolves in concert with the top ring and hook. And for the other person, you get the two rings to hold the bottom of your flag to the pole. You use one and have a spare. You slip the ring over the pole and up to the top portion and follow my instructions above. No where does the description state you can get a silver ball for the top of your pole. I do agree that it would be 'nice' if the manufacturer did send along a little sheet of instructions so that those who can't figure it out by themselves could be served. I'm thinking, next social security check, that I might get one or two more poles. They're terrific

Great pole for the price!
This is my third pole like this. This one (America's Flag Company HW6SPINWP) is the exact same pole that is offered for more money on Amazon under other names. It is a Valley Forge pole Item # 60737. It is 2-piece white aluminum tubing with sturdy plastic threads to screw it together for a six foot pole. At one end is a gold plastic ball finial, with the top half of the shaft on bearings so it spins, and the bottom end has a plastic cap to plug it. Mine included two plastic retainers for grommet mount flags, and a fixed hook for sleeve mounts. I assume it was made in China, but could find no markings on it to indicate where it was made. I paid $12.28 with free shipping. My flags rarely tangle now. The spinning section is 36 inches long, so I doubt if it will work well with a bigger flag that uses grommet mounting holes, since only one grommet would spin. A 4'x6' flag with a sleeve mounting might work OK. I used a tubing cutter and shortened one of mine like this one from 6 to 5 feet, for hanging my smaller 28"x40" house flags. It works great and I think it looks better. I have had a couple of wooden poles with wooden ball finials that did not hold up in the weather. So far, after 6 months, my other two like this one look just like new.

I'd like a better bottom support.
It looks pretty good, but the plastic ring thing you hold the bottom eyelet with looks and feels like it is made of brittle plastic that will degrade and crumble in the sun. Granted, I just got the thing and it hasn't yet failed me and I'm not a materials scientist. It just seems like they could have made it out of sturdier stuff for a few cents, even keep the same design. It isn't the easiest thing in the world to turn the spinner part and it's got to rely on the weight of a flag to spin. My experience so far is that the flag does not get fully wrapped up, and will eventually recover from single wraps as the drag of the wind on the flag works the spin action.

Very poor flag attachment sytem!
Nice flag pole, but the flag attachment system really seems like it was designed by a toddler playing around with mismatched plastic hardware. The diameter of the grommets on most flags is pretty nuch standard, BUT the diameter of the ring set screws is very much smaller. Yes, you can set the rings tight so the flag holds on, but if any of the two rings slip or break or the flag material stretches, the flag will fall off. I don't know why they simply did not design the rings to have clips just like the one at the top of the pole or use screws with larger diameter heads. I don't know about you, but I don't want Old Glory winding up lying in the mud just because some engineer thought this was "good enough"! I'll have to add my own clips to compensate for poor design. Otherwise, the flag pole looks great - time will tell.

This is a good pole but expect to get a couple years out ...
I found this pole to work well and the flag did not get wrapped around it much. However, the clip where the flag attaches to the top spinner ring is plastic and broke after just over 2 years. Another reviewer said 16 months. That is ok for the $15 I paid but the price is up to $21 two years later and I don't know that the attachment clip is any more durable. This is a good pole but expect to get a couple years out of it before replacement is necessary.

Nice looking flag pole!
This flag pole looks nice with the gold end. I still have problems with my flag hanging up and I have to constantly free it up. I don't think it is the pole though but how we have it placed on the house is the problem. Unfortunately, where the flag has to be on our new addition doesn't allow us to change the pitch of the flagpole.

Works as expected
So far we are happy with this. We've had it about a month however, we strongly recommend you buy this add on "America's Flag Company HW1INOFURL Stop Flag Furling Never-Furl For Use on 1-Inch Flagpoles" The flag pole would be worthless without it. The attachments that come with this flag are not usable at all. I also ordered the steel flag pole holder.

Inexpensive, but does the job!
I am renting a house and was in need of a low cost spinner flag pole to mount my college football colors! I bought this one because it spins and it is inexpensive. We live along the ocean and it can really blow out here. So far the flag pool is holding up great and I am very satisfied with it.

Aluminum Flagpole
You cannot use the clip at the top for the flag as it will not spin, Luckily it comes with two plastic collars and you can position your flag anywhere on the top half of the pole, but a word of caution do NOT over tighten the screws or they will crack the collars . So far so good
