Adds Much Stability to Cane. Just Be Careful Flicking Cane Up With Foot, It Can Fly Back at You Quickly
The cane tip is well made with a good tread. Its diameter is much wider than a regular cane tip. Seeing it in action, as on their Youtube video, you'll see how that it is indeed a "Superior" cane tip. It takes some practice to flick it up with your foot, and I was amazed how fast it can fly back at you, and the cane is a hard object too. Just make sure you're ready to catch it, and you'll be fine. They should definitely include this fact on their package insert, for I think you're most likely to injure yourself on the first few tries, if you're not used to its "return action" - a little bit like handball when you hit the ball and have to be ready for the ball's return. The cane tip definitely lends much more stability to the cane, or should I say, stability to the act of using the cane. After several months of use, my wife has yet to drop the cane. Previously, it was not unusual for me to have to retrieve for her, off the floor, several times a month. She loves the cane tip, and how much more stability she has, when using the cane. When you pull off the old tip, be sure to retrieve the plug at the end of it, so you put the Superior tip over it, to maintain the stability of the physical cane itself.I hope they just add a few lines after the need for caution in raising the cane up when flicking it, with your foot. At least, I've raised a "little cain" about the matter here, and also the need for a package insert advisory on it.My additional comment, almost a year later, is that once you're aware that the cane can fly up pretty fast when you raise it with your foot, you're able to catch it OK. After almost a year of steady use by my wife, it shows little wear. It's also pretty good on slippery floors. We highly recommend it.

Great on sand and other soft ground
I bought this and another large round green tip to use in the sand on beach. Both worked. Green one was slippery around pool and in bathroom. This soft flexible rubber gripped the floor and was very stable. I also just used them on a grassy hill that was very soft and mushy from moles underground. My regular canes just sunk. This soft black wide tip was durable and gripped the hillside. The other green wide tip allowed my cane to punch through. Buying 2 more of this tip. Bonus that you can step on the edge and it stands right up to your hand from the ground. Only a well balanced handle will stay in upright position. But when it falls, just step on the edge and it stands right up.

Does EXACTLY what it sez it'll do...
You've always heard the phrase: You Get What You Pay For; and in this case, I DID!First, I wasn't satisfied with the tip/end that came with my cane (I ALWAYS had to find somewhere to lay it against) so I searched Wal-Mart for a Standup cane tip and they had one for just over $6---I thought done deal...NOT! The tip was easy enuff to install, but the narrow base of it would NOT permit my cane to stand up on its own...and certainly not on my carpeting! So, I did somemore research and found this particular cane end, and tho it was more that double the price of Walmart's, it too was VERY easy to install AND now my cane stands up anywhere & everywhere, including on my carpet! I'm thrilled to say the least!!! 😁👍

Stable
I find this to be the best compromise for a tip. Not as bulky and heavy as a quad tip, but much better on grass or gravel than a standard tip. Will stand on hard surfaces, but not so much on carpet. Still a great cane tip.

Superior is THEE correct name!
Wow, I just received my new cane tip today and I really like this product. I had a Able Tripod cane tip and it was pretty worn and not standing on it's own anymore. I bought this cause it looked sturdier and slightly smaller. It performs better than my old one and it looks nicer too. Just wish I would have bought the 2 pack cause my 'car cane' still has the old tip on it. Try this cane tip and I bet you will love it too. Makes life easier not having to lean the cane and then try to pick it up when it falls.

I love this! does fit 3/4 cane , But may not be for everybody
This is a great heavy duty tip. It is exactly what I need as I walk on gravel and uneven surfaces The cane will stand on hard surfaces but not on carpet. It is easy to tip over, but it stands when I need it to, like opening a door or visiting the little boys room. It also just feels better than one of the quad types when walking. and I think it looks better than a quad type. Also, I did put this on a 3/4" cane, it was tight but does work. I would highly recommend this cane tip.

What a great idea !
This fits my baseball bat cane perfectly and is well made . I love how I can rest my cane upright and not have to lean it against anything. This tip protects my cane and gives me so much more of a base ...giving me more support .

Unable To Use This
Wife review: This cane tip wasn't for me. It stands ok on the wooden floor, but walking with it was difficult for me beccause I wasn't able to keep it steady on the floor/carpet or ground as I walked. Unlike my regular cane tip which remains steady & stable no matter where I am walking, I had, for whatever reason, an inablility to keep my cane steady with this tip on. I kept getting a rotating motion. I do not attribute this problem to this cane tip itself, but to own handling of my cane with it on.
