I used one of these bags as a liner inside a 5-gallon container to brine a 16 lb. turkey. It didn't leak, and the heavy gauge material made it fairly easy to drain the liquid into my sink without making a mess. The seams and closure appear to be well-constructed.

I had used turkey brine bags before but these are far superior. Plastic is very thick and puncture resistant not to mention it holds up an incredible amount of weight without any sagging or tearing. LOVE the zipper feature at the very top. If you're someone who likes doing a dry brine like me this also works super well for containing all parts of your turkey and seasoning without it getting everywhere. I simply put my bald turkey inside at the very beginning and wore some gloves and putting the brine on in the inside and outside was so much less strenuous and messy. Size is perfect. I had a 35 lb bird and by virtue of it being a dry brine I was lucky to have more than enough space but if you are dealing with a lot of liquid I bet you'll be satisfied too. Plenty of space with no threat of spillover and a top level that's able to seal even filled nearly to the top. Two different options to get the tightest seal Price is perfect to get plenty of them for all your brining needs and no longer have to struggle with ziploc bags or the like.

Does exactly what it is designed to do! A nice large brine bag. Thick, and no noticeable plastic smell. Used the first bag for Thanksgiving and will use the second for a Christmas. It says it is BPA free which is nice since you often put warm liquid over ice in them, and most importantly it didn't leak. It is more functional and easier to use the then thinner ones sold in the grocery store. It has multiple closure option made it easy to close it up, and they are a great value.I look forward to using the 2nd one for Christmas!

This is a great bag for brining large pieces of meat and poultry, as well as smaller pieces. It comes with 2 bags, just enough for Thanksgiving and Christmas.I found these bags to be sturdy, without prone to ripping and leaking. They are thick enough to brine andand marinate. I’ve found them to be easy to use for a for a variety of purposes.I do recommend this book.

I use this bag to brine a 16 lb turkey. It was perfectly sized. I was able to wrap it around the outside of the bucket in the picture as I put the turkey and the brine into the bag. The Only problem I had is that it was extremely difficult to reseal the bag. In fact, I could not reseal the whole thing at all. So I had to make sure I didn't tip it on its side to the bucket and lose all my brine. I was able to go accomplish this easily however, I do wish it was easier to seal.
