Ancol/Pure Dog Listeners - Stop Pulling Dog Training Harness & Lead Set - Small Size 3-4 (inc DVD)

I was going to wait a while to review this wonderful harness, but i couldn't wait any longer 😂I bought this harness for my 9 month old Doberman pup who is becoming a very strong boy.He drags me down the road everyday to got to "his field with all his human and doggy friends"Hes terrified he will miss something if we don't get there quick enough and me only having 2 legs is just not acceptable as far as hes concerned..........its become a nightmare and the least enjoyable time of the day, not just for me but for the whole family 😖I've spent a small fortune on our boy when it comes to collars and leads and the last resort was the one that i wrap around his snout which i was very reluctant to buy1) because it will make him look vicious when hes a huge softy2) i know he will without a doubt make a complete show of me yelping and trying to get it off and throw a complete tantrum! 😂I read the reviews and its sounds like it worked well for all the other fur babies so i thought please God let this work for us too and i ordered it.I received the harness 3 days ago and put it straight on Pup now it was a bit fiddly i must admit and Pup wasn't wriggly he automatically knew it was some form of walkies contraption so he was all for it managed to get it on and took a deep breath towards the door 🙏We go out and he pulled and didn't get far, he pulled again and i was still standing in the same spot, he looked at me then with all his might took a huge LEAP OF FAITH and he still didn't make me move 😂he looked at me as if to say "what is this sorcery" came back to my side accepted it and walked with me for the first time in forever!Now he is a Doberman so his "need to lead" the walk is genetic so he still walks in front not at my side and i accept that about him but there is little to no pulling whats so ever with this harness, if he does pull he feels the tension straight away and slacks the lead himself.These past few days i've even had a full handful of the lead in my hand instead of a tense loop, hes done amazing, I AM SUPER IMPRESSED WITH THIS HARNESS.The fact its on the side of the harness instead of on top is a God send, i can also put his coat on over him which is fantastic as its been raining these past few days.I have thoroughly enjoyed our walks and i hope more than anything if anyone else is struggling with there pully pups that they purchase one of these Harnesses tooYes, they can still pull but ever so slightly, I love this harness one of my best buys by a mile THANK YOU 🙏🐕‍🦺💖

Followed the instructions for fitting on my 3 yr old Border Collie, who is very small, bought Med. Read the instructions for training but didn't need it. As soon as we left the house she stopped pulling! And walking at my side was brilliant. Normally if on a short lead she pulls to the side putting her feet under mine so I tread on them. At certain places like busy roads she pulls ahead and my arm forward. Now my hand is still at my side. I have shown it to friends & lent it to a Springer Spaniel for two days & both have ordered one straight away. With my arthritis & bad back this is a godsend. I used to have to get her to keep sitting especially down hill/steps as I have to go really slow to not jar my back/knee. Cannot recommend this enough. I have also found an easier way to put on once fitted to size. Leave all clips fastened. Put purple over head, & pull dogs legs gently through the fleece covered belly strap from the front. Much easier than trying to get your dog to keep feet still on floor while you pull up & clip.

We had the harness for 3 months and it does help with the pulling slightly. Only problem we had is our Springer loves to swim and when his harness gets wet it expands in size leaving it loose on the dog. This can be potentially dangerous if the dog is swimming and gets one of its limbs caught whilst in a deep area. Ours is now at the bottom of a lake after slipping off whilst swimming. Would reccomend if your dog stays out of water, wouldn't if you've got a keen swimmer.

I have tried every single lead/harness for my staffy which all worked for a few months until she realised how to work out to still walk like a complete lunatic. This is by far so far the best harness, don’t get me wrong she can still pull slightly but absolutely nothing compared to before and the best thing I’ve found is she listens more doesn’t seem interested in any passerby’s, before she would want to jump up to anything moving, no doubt in a few months I’ll be looking for the next best thing again, but for now this has changed our walks from a complete disaster to a pleasure.

I have tried various different harnesses, and was sceptical about this one working any better at stopping my collie pulling......however, it is brilliant, especially because you clip the lead onto a side ring and so the harness stays in situ and doesn't twist sideways as is the case with front ring harnesses.It is very comfortable on my dog...she has no problem wearing it, and it is so much easier to control her...no more pulling.I would def recommend this harness and it is fantastic value for the price.

We have a 9 month old 32kg Chow Chow who loves all people and dogs, and he loves walks on his terms.I've been struggling to control him as he has gotten bigger and more stubborn, so thought I would try this harness after recommendation from puppy class.Initially he disliked the new harness and tried to eat the lead, but with treats and training in the house, he quickly got used to it.First walk out, and although he still tried to pull a bit, but it is a lot easier for me to control him and stop him from lunging in excitement to greet other people/dogs as he has accepted that there is now a strict limit.I would definitely recommend this after one walk, as I no longer feel like my arms are being pulled out their sockets and I don't have to lean back any more, and my pup also stops to look back at me (probably just to say hurry up as he can't go any further, but it is still a win).

Fantastic, can't believe the difference. Have tried all sorts of leads and harnesses for my eager spaniel. However as soon as I set foot out of the door wearing this he was walking like a lamb. I'm not exaggerating, it worked a treat, couldn't believe the difference. The chest strap is the key, bringing the dog around to you if he pulls when he wants to go forward. Fab, thank you, would definitely recommend.
