Excellent art set that is a lot bigger and larger than I thought it would be. The unit itself is wood and has drawers that are not the easiest to open and shut. But that's really the only complaint, because the crayons feeling pretty cheap and basic. Everything else is of good quality or better. The papers and mediums to draw or paint are EXCELLENT. Very high quality for drawing papers, which is unexpectedly great because this is meant for kids to learn on, but the papers are really the type that more professional artists might use to refine their skills. Overall, it is a great set that is very impressive at this price point -- I am not sure you can get all of those paper packs to draw for this price!

This Deluxe Art Supplies Painting Set contains just about everything needed to create lovely art using multiple mediums. The supplies are contained in a nice Cherrywood box. It even comes with drawing pads and canvases. The set is giftable and it can motivate someone to explore painting, and/or provide useful supplies to seasoned artists. I really like this set and I recommend it to you.

The box is nice, which is the thing I did want, and the drawing pads are decent as well. The crayons are crayons and seem fine for kids coloring. The oil pastels, while they seemed like they might be softer, are harder than the crayons and require quite a bit of effort to use. The brushes are ok, but nothing special. The colored pencils are decent, as well as the drawing pencils. I haven't tried the water color or acrylic paints, but I would be surprised if they were above student grade.If you are getting this for a creative child, it has a lot for them to experiment with. For any semi serious artist, this probably isn't a good choice. The best part of the thing is the box, and the drawing pads, the pencils being good enough.

However, THIS art kit is the best one I’ve seen so far.This art kit has colored pencils, sketching pencils, sandpaper, a malleable artist eraser, pencil sharpeners, a 6-inch ruler, and color creation guides.It has paint brushes, water colors, and acrylic paints. It has oil pastels as well.It also has two sets of crayons.All of the art mediums fit inside a 3-layer, stained wooden box, with a liftable lid and two drawers that are removable.They include two sketch pads, a watercolor pad, an acrylic pad, and a coloring book. Also included are two round blending sponges, and 3 paint canvases.The ONLY negative is the holding trays, which are made of cheap plastic. But they still do the job of holding all the items in place.This art kit has every medium I can think of, to interest any artist. It’s truly a one-stop kit for all the things used to create art.Highly recommended!

Wowza! Unboxing this kit was a joy. It is the perfect comprehensive kit for art fun. I don't need the coloring book, but everything else is terrific. The cute purple box storage is so helpful, too. Love, love, love this kit.
