Gibraltar Bass Drum Accessories Port Hole Protector SC-GPHP-5B 5"/13 cm, black

Ordered a custom printed skin with 5" hole and ordered this to protect the hole. It fit perfect.It's a reassuringly tight fit so you have to be a little careful with the fitting but it snaps in well and looks spot on.

I installed this after using the Gibraltar port hole cutter. It's a perfect fit, looks unobtrusive, and seems sturdy enough to do its job of protecting the drum head.Some reviewers have claimed that the smaller inner disc doesn't fit onto the bevelled edge of the outer disc. I found that it was quite tricky and I had to apply quite a lot of force by pressing down onto a flat surface, but it eventually worked. It's obviously designed to be a tight fit so that it can't work its way apart while you're banging the drum. I summary, this is a great product, but be prepared to put some work into fixing it in place.

I have never cut a hole in a bass drum head before. I used the Gibraltar cutter. The port was easy to fit after watching the Gibraltar fitting video - a five minute job. Very pleased with the result.

Very frustrated by this. The outer ring would not seat flush with the drum head. Watched the Gibraltar YouTube video and tried to seat twitch flat headed screwdriver but simply wouldn’t fit and kept flipping out. The inner ring is now so firmly stuck I can’t get it off. Having to buy another outer ring to cover hole. Poor quality

Followed the YouTube video by Gibraltar on how to fit this. My advice: use the Gibraltar hole cutter not a Stanley knife (as they do in their video). Port hole didn't fit into the hole and then all the adhesive came off. Now I have a wrecked bass drum head and will be throwing this in the bin.

Complete rubbish... as others have pointed out the sizes of the 2 rings just don't match up. If you buy this you'll just be contributing to the plastic waste that's all ready out there. Companies should really think about that but they don't care as long as they've got your money!

Si este port hole está dentro de tus opciones, lo recomiendo mucho, ya instalado luce muy bien estéticamente.Tal vez cueste un poco de problema su instalación, pero es entendible por la protección que le brindará a tu parche. Hay un video en YouTube que muestra su instalación, a mi me ayudó a tomar la decisión de comprarlo.

Ho comprato questo oggetto perchè avevo la necessità di forare la pelle della cassa per poterla microfonare. Ho prima applicato l'anello interno e poi tagliato la pelle seguendo il bordo dell'anello interno. Una volta fatto il buco ho messo la parte esterna e appoggiandomi su una superficie piana, e dal lato interno della pelle ho martellato leggermente l'anello finchè non si è incastrato nella sede corretta dell'anello esterno. Per adesso mi sembra che regga bene.
