Amazing
Amazing noodles, full of flavour and top quality for a instant noodle pack

A serious contender for the best instant noodles on earth
Where to start with these, they are at the top of most instant noodles for a reason. Singapore product, based on their Laksa Mian dish. A gourmet experience on every level. Restaurant quality, simply that. The noodles themselves are almost like fresh ones, thicky and chewy texture, you honestly don't believe they are instant, best instant noodles hands down. The broth is made up of two packets, ones is mainly shrimp and the other is dry coconut milk. It is not spicy but mild and enjoyable. I am thinking of adding a few chillis to mine next time, and maybe some other spices to liven it up a little. Expensive it may be, but the quality is on another level. Treat yourself.

Unpleasant smell
DISCLAIMER: My expectations for this product were extremely high and because of that, it may have influenced my final over-all rating.Upon receiving the 'Laksa La Mian' and opening the box, There was some noticeable amounts of water droplets on the outside of one of the packets of the Laksa, which was rather concerning - after checking the packets for leakage, I came to the conclusion that they were still fine to eat.Preparation - Very simple. Instructions were easy and clear to read; The packaging was very premium-looking and had 2 sachets to enforce its premium look. One sachet was the laksa paste mix, and the other was powered coconut mixture.Cooking - Once I opened the laksa paste mix, there was an extremely unpleasant fish oder which discouraged me from eating the final product. After, I began to open the powered coconut mixture which had no particular smell. Following the instructions clearly, I began to put both into a pot of 500ml water.Eating - The smell of the laksa after being cooked seemed a little bit promising, although the fishy smell was still there and the coconut power was noticeably stronger in smell than before - it smelt artificial as hell. The noodles were of an extremely great quality and compared to other instant laksa/ramen, it was premium. The broth was OK. This is what let down the whole laksa for me. The taste of the coconut was extremely artificial although there was no fishy taste. The broth was very thick and rich which was nice. After eating it for 1 minute, I concluded I didn't like it.Conclusion - Not worth the money. Extremely expensive for what it is. The noodles were great. Packaging was good. Broth let down the whole dish. I was inevitably disappointed after this. Concerned about the water droplets in the actual box itself but other than that service was fine. I recommending buying 1 packet to try first as this laksa has an acquired taste.

Great noodles but need to expect oriental flavours!
I've purchased these noodles over the past 10 years whilst visiting my colleagues in The Netherlands; a local oriental market sells these for around 3-4EUR and I always take a few packs home. Good to know they can be purchased now on Amazon and the cost seems fairly comparable but a few expectations to set:1) This is quite a large meal - way more than your standard ramen noodle. Enough of a lunch for 2 people and even a dinner when chicken and veg are added.2) THESE ARE ORIENTAL NOODLES from SE Asia where lots of FISH and SHRIMP paste is used. If you want to eat SE Asian food, you will come across shrimp paste / fish paste and the resulting smell, these ingredients are clearly noted on this very site (images and text) so do not be surprised at an unpleasnt fishy smell - this is standard. However the taste is amazing as a result and very authentic.Overall a great meal and super easy to prepare. Not something to eat daily, more like once a month as it's very creamy, spicy and rich, but a great authentic Laksa nevertheless. Delicious and I will be ordering more!
