Waterproof Police Issue LED Torch - LED Flashlight (Holster)

The torch arrived not working. A quick examination revealed the cause: Despite a nicely machined body and an effective LED assembly in the main body it relied on a switch element in the removable base of the torch which connects the bottom of the battery pack to the body of the case. This switch element is in a nylon casing relying on a soft metal tag making the connection to the case. This tag has no inherent springiness to maintain contact with the case so if it gets bent for any reason (such as dropping through my letter box) there is no more contact with the case and the torch does not light. I cannot believe that this torch is used by UK Police forces unless those in Enid Blyton's childrens books!

this is an OUTSTANDING torch .being an electrician [retired now] i have owned /used many torches over the years but this one is amazing i have 4 similar 3 AAA type LED all CREE torches they all look the same and all cost around £10 but this one has a fixed beam and a nice colour rendering many of the LED torches have a green/grey hue to them ..however this one has a nice daylight/warm white light to it ..i put brand new batteries in all my torches and it was immediately obvious that this torch is far superior .the only down side is no wrist strap.and the on /off button could be better ..if your looking for a very bright torch with good colour rendering you have just found it ,,good for dog walking at night .handy for keeping in the car and even by the bedside ! no wonder the police have them as standard kit .not all 3 AAA torches are the same even though they may look the same or better . you can purchase a wrist strap [pack of two from amazon for just £3 .

Good form factor, feels good in the hand. Pleasing white beam pattern. The instruction leaflet actually said this was 230 lumens. Simple to operate, on/off. No momentary action on the button. Comes with batteries installed, but I always use my own. The crown/head bevel of the torch looks tactical to me, and feels it. I'll say no more than that.Bottom line, if you want loads of settings this isn't for you. If you want something that's solid in the hand and tactically shaped with a good powerful white beam and runs on easy to source tripple A batteries for ten pounds, this is for you. I like it.

This is a good robust torch to have with you when walking. However, whilst the beam is nice and strong it is not so good for reading, in our case Xmas carols. You need a lower strength beam torch for that. Now why a dropped star? On receipt if the torch it took ages to get it to work. I took the batteries out to check and cleaned all the contacts and eventually got it to work. Tried it the next day and had to go through the same process. It is now working correctly and switches on every time and I now consider it a very good torch. Finally, i suspect that this issue of torches initially not working is not that unusual.

I bought this torch with a Kickfast connector Peter Jones Klickfast Torch Dock. This torch is issued by UK emergency services, so it must be good and they are not wrong. I have one of these in the car for any emergency. When using, it produces a very bright light which travels very far. I am very happy with this torch and it includes 3 aaa batteries and a wrist strap. A 5 star product.

i cant find a torchin a similar price range that beats the strength and durability of this torch.i took it with me to play airsoft and taped it to the barrel of the bb gun and it lasted a good 5 sessions and being that it absorbed alot of impact and still managed to work (with a few hits) i outstanding as my friends zoomable torch only lasted 3 sessions and completely didnt work after said alot about the QUALITY of this product however as i neede something that i was going to throw away after 5-6 uses i ipted for a pack of 4 Zoomables for £12 and it did the job

I am very pleased with the torch, I wished that I had spotted it earlier. It is fantastic not only fantastic but great. The torch light is lovely and very bright. Previous torches that my late husband and I bought were not very good but for this torch I would give a score of 100/100 I will be recommending your torch to family and friends. I've had a fair selection of aluminium bodied high lumens output mini-torches over the years and this one is a replacement for a previous purchase of something completely different. The torch comes with a wrist strap and batteries (with a couple of insulating discs that need to removed before it will work for the first time). FIrst impressions are good and I'll update this review over time and usage - hopefully this will be many years.
