Iron Sole-

Some of these "5 star" comments make me wonder if people are being paid to write reviews. This thing is a great concept but it's awful to work with. Definitely needs to go back to the drawing board. First of all, the wire "strap" slips all over the place, I mean it's not like the iron has something the hold it in place so while trying to iron, the wire just slides back & forth. This of course makes the cover slide back and fourth. You cannot iron with this plastic piece of poo sliding up & down over your shirts! As if that wasn't bad enough, it does not glide easily over certain fabrics. Add to that the fact that it keeps some of the heat away from the fabric and you end up with a mess on what's supposed to be a crispy white shirt.I rigged it a bit to keep it from moving all over the place, by using duck tape (see pics) and that helped a bit but again, this did not help with the "gliding smoothly over the fabric" part as it sticks to certain fabrics.Would I buy this again? Nope!I will now continue my search for a non-stick iron and just give up on the stainless steal plated irons because they suck!!

I just received this item and was hoping it would work well. I am sure it works fine protecting fabric which is what it was designed for, "protecting you from ruining fabric". However, if you are a crafter or quilter, this cover is not for you. It goes on very easy, which is nice, but the minute you move the iron back and forth, the tip which is a hard plastic, moves the fabric along with it, causing what looks like "ripples" on the freshly ironed fabric.I had the Bo-Nash iron cover that that worked fabulously, but the fabric that was on the edging burnt (user error, I think). So, I am going to order another one of those and stop yelling at this one.

The flat portion of this item is great, but it has a corner at the point of the iron, which can jab at your clothing. You have to be too careful which is time consuming.

I really like this product. I still iron clothes and am frustrated when dark items look shiny when using a regular iron. This Iron Sole prevents all of this and glides effortlessly on other clothing and tablecloths. It fits most irons and makes the job of ironing easier.

I was tired of getting "shiny" marks on my blended fabric clothing, so bought this iron sole. It has eliminated the marks, but the construction of this product is weird. The metal strap barely keeps the sole on and I have to constantly readjust the sole during ironing.I'm not going to get a different sole just yet, but when this one inevitably wears out, I'm going to purchase a better quality sole.

I have been using these for over 10 years. I discovered them in Europe and was thrilled when I was able to order them on-line. They may look odd but they are wonderful for protecting your clothes from burns and that awful shine. I keep my iron on 'high' permanently and it works well.The only thing to be aware of is that they do wear out after a while. I replace mine every 2-3 years.

It was unwieldy and kept slipping off of the iron and did not let the heat get through nor allow smooth ironing ! I sent them back.

This lil covwr works. I had a standard (cheapy) steel plate iron that had developed the usualy black crud on the plate. I didnt want to spend the money for a new iron for the 5-6 times a year i have to iron my white dress uniform shirt. So I got this and I have used it twice, it works!
