Yay! Finally a Jean Grey figure...kinda
Well, i purchased this before Christmas, and was very excited to get her. She has long been my favorite character, and i've been dreaming of a good rendition of her, that is not the Phoenix. Well, it's almost good, but i have some problems with the figure. I first would like to say, that the face is very well done. This is the first figure i have purchased in this line of action figures, so i can't really compare it to anything else. I have no idea if all the faces look so good. I love the fact that she is in her most famous costume, which is the Jim Lee, blue and yellow from the 90's. She comes with an energy projection, which attaches to her open hand. Not very well, but that's not really why you would purchase her anyway. :P She also comes with a generic stand, which has her name on it.I like the fact that she has one open hand, so i can pose her in a certain way, making it look like she is levitating something, or someone. The articulation is pretty good. She has joints in the ankles, knees, hips, abs, shoulders, and elbows. Her elbow is able to rotate, which i hear is a first for the females. Her shoulder pads, of course take away from some of the pose-ability, but anyone who can see the picture, know what to expect.Due to her hair, she has very limited movement of her head. Again, not really shocked. Her hair is a very soft rubber, which is nice. The bad part about her head, is she is constantly looking down. It's rather annoying.Next is her posture. In order for her not to look like a hunchback, you have to slightly bend the knees in order to stand her up. This may cause problems later with her knee joints, but it's not really a huge problem. The slight bend of the knees really makes the difference from her looking like she is standing, to making her look like she is bent over at the waist. One of my big problems with her, is that her hips are made in such a way, like all of these figures i'm sure, that i am really afraid of snapping the plastic that connects the leg, to the hip. This figure, not being the easiest to find, was quite expensive, and it would be a shame to break it. It greatly limits her pose-ability.All in all, i am not sorry that i purchased her, but again, i am a huge fan, and have been waiting for a figure to come out. However, even as my favorite character, she wouldn't hit any top ten lists. If she did break, i would be very upset at myself, but would not replace her, since she is difficult to find in my area, and not really worth the price. I would have given her 2 1/2 stars if i could, but didn't think she warranted only 2. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for any info on her. I purchased this figure completely blind, as there were NO reviews on her at the time.

Small head
It's ok. But the head feels to be a tiny bit to small for the body. Which seeksntonbe a probally on some of the female mu figures

Could be better
I have to agree with the other reviewer on all their points. It's nice that this version of Jean was actually made. Going back to the original Toy Biz X-Men figures, it seems like companies rarely offer jean in any costume other than her Phoenix attire. But as nice as it is to have a Jim Lee-style jean,. the execution on this figure could have been better. The hunchback posture is somewhat less than attractive. It helps if you fiddle with the figure's pose for a while, and even more if you remove the shoulder pads, but this should never have been a problem in the first place.By the standards of typical female Marvel Universe figures, this one is pretty good. The articulation is respectable and there are more sculpted details than usual. If you look at figures like Ms. Marvel, Shadowcat, etc. they're all just the same basic female body repainted again and again. But it's still a pretty lackluster effort compared to a lot of the other X-Men figures. Hopefully as Hasbro continues to work out the kinks with this line they'll be able to do better by Jean.
