The book is golden. I had so much joy working on the Dacre Rucksack. It was the easiest and quickest project for a beginner crocheter like myself. The pattern is very clearly written with tons of instructions and pictures.I am so excited to work on the cute wardrobe in the book. It is such a wonderful present for crocheters. I've been very excited about getting this book as I've purchased some ofKaren's patterns before so I knew the book would be fantastic. There's such a fab selection of items to create, for both boys and girls. Can't wait to try some.Also, as a fellow Cumbrian I very much enjoyed that the garments are named after local places - a simple touch that made me smile.

This books has so many adorable patterns! It's a very well thought out and well organized/laid out book. Also, each pattern comes in many different sizes. The patterns are color coded so you can easily find the number of stitches that applies to the size you are making. There are plenty of patterns for both boys and girls. The models are super cute. I love how the designer gives a thorough description of the yarn used including the fiber, the weight, the brand, the color, etc. The photos are high quality, crystal clear and included on almost every page. The book is so lovely to look at. If I was to create a crochet book, I would want it to look just like this one. Karen Petry, her publisher, and photographer should be congratulated for an impressive collaboration.
