These are good and you should buy a set.
I measured when I was swollen, but my measurements are: ankles: 11" and calfs 20" -- so you know where I'm coming from. I've worn each pair once, and I haven't washed them yet. I don't usually put my clothes in the dryer unless it is reaining or nighttime, so that won't be an issue.I wore these to work and oh how cute they look with flats - and I haven't been able to look good in flats for a while because of the swelling problem. I was told to get compression hose when I was diagnosed with stasis dermatitis and chronic venous insufficiency. These mostly stayed up, and only started to creep down my legs near the very end of the day at home when I put my feet up in the recliner. They are mild compression, and some days I'll need tighter support, but most days these will do great. Some folks mentioned that they were thin like tights. They are thin, but more like trouser socks. I didn't have fear of putting a finger through them. As they stretch up the leg, the pattern does get lighter, but I really expected this and it looks great anyway. The two things that I don't love about them is that they are shaped like tube socks, so there is no specific heal spot, and also they look to have been printed on one side, flipped over and then printed on the other side. There is no seam, but there is a line on each side of the leg where the patterns don't match. That said, the line is somewhat useful in that I know if they are on exactly straight. Overall, I like these socks a lot, my fiancee likes them alot (on me), and I will buy more!

I love these. I do have wider than normal calves ...
I love these. I do have wider than normal calves - about 17" now - and am going through chemo which is causing my feet and ankles to be swollen. These alleviate the pain and re-distribute the swelling so I can walk more comfortably - plus they lift my spirits - they ARE a conversation starter for sure and the comments make me smile. I hand wash and line dry them and have no problem with the quality or shrinkage or losing elasticity. I'm back to buy a few more pairs so I have one for every day and just have to wash them all out once a week (since I have several months left of chemo).

These are NOT socks!
These are sheer and silky, like tights or pantyhose. I would categorize them as knee-highs. They do not provide much compression and they have a seam right across the tips of the toes, like pantyhose. The directions say to hand wash and hang to dry. You know, like pantyhose. They are not wide-calf. It's a thumbs down from me.

Light compression-do not stay in place
They are very thin and fit like a trouser sock. They are slightly wider than other compression socks, but I would not call them wide calf. I measure about 18" on my calf. Light compression was recommended for when I exercise/run/walk and if I am going to be on my feet at work due to muscle issues in one of my ankles. They do not stay up well. I wore a pair today to try on one of my short walks. I did a 30 minute, 2 mile walk. I had to pull one up multiple times during the walk and the other ended up about half way down my calf by the end of the walk. I work in health care and work 10-13 hour days. I do not think these will keep drive me crazy during a work day. I do not recommend this product.

Inadequate as ‘compression’ stockings-sad!
These are sold as compression stockings...they are so light duty they could be described as quirky knee highs, but their qualification as ‘compression is very questionable. While they don’t actually fall down they do not remain completely as high as when they were put on. If a medical professional has required you to wear compression stockings, skip these.I was required to wear a compression stocking after leg surgery, I thought these would make my pain and discomfort easier...they were inadequate.

Love them...
Fit beautifully and the compression is "just enough." The colors are cheerful and make them fun to wear.

Pretty
They arrived on time & lik very pretty, however, they aren't very effective as compression hosiery. They are pretty much nylons stockings. I wear compression hose EVERY day & these don't seem to do much for me.

Irregular Fit, Not Wide-Calf
These are more like tights than compression socks. The description reads wide-width calf; however, there doesn't appear to be anymore room than regular fit. The plus is the colors and designs are vibrant. I returned them b/c the fit was irregular and not as described.
