Wonderful flux and highly effective
While I am giving it a 5 star review, I would like to issue a word of caution to those of you newbies who use this. Use it sparingly. You don't want to glob it on or else you'll end up leaving a gross sticky black paste after you're done soldering. Only a light coating. You should barely see any red at all when you use it. That's how light a coating you should use. It's also an extremely effective tip cleaner, though I would recommend only using it to clean homemade copper tips.

The Best for any metals! No need for different flux types.
Helps clean and wet and metals to tin and adhere solder quickly with low dwell time. Use good heat and timely dwelling to keep from overheating work. Cleans easily with alcohol or water base chemicals. Some of the best flux money can buy! Made in Ohio!

Great for both small and large soldering jobs where you need a perfect solder joint. New (Plastic) container means, no more rust. Plastic also ensure easy opening/access which was the issue I had with the last metal container. I have purchased this same soldering flux paste for the past 15 years. It’s the same consistency and performs very nicely. Other than using it with micro circuits, it ideal for tinning thin and thick braided copper wire as well. Truthfully, I don’t know what I’d do without this product. Buy with confidence.

Unknown territory
I'm new at this so I may very well be doing something wrong. It does not seem to work as a flux that you use before soldering, but it works great for cleaning and tinning the iron tips.

Good flux
Overall the flux is much better than the cheap transparent-yellow one. But there are 2 downsides:1) The container is not easy to close. It's just annoying.2) The flux needs to be carefully removed after the soldering is done. I've got a crosstalk between 2 digital lines because I was lazy and did not remove it.

Works great! Bad enclosure, no applicator.
This was very good flux. If you solder you know how it works. It was a dark red colour. It did become very runny upon applying heat but it was still just fine. the packaging was less than good. it was just a press fit cap. I can guarantee its going to pop open at some time and it will be a wasted product.it also doesn't come with any sort of application tool. therefore it gets a three star. i need to know that my enclosure will stay closed without having to give it its own personal shelf. If you are very organized and will keep this out of a bag or jumbled mess, your going to love the product and the price.
