It’s perfect
The shoes were comfortable for the first ride and my insoles fit perfectly. I've picked up a couple miles per hour in speed as a result. The is pretty close to perfect for my feet. Toes have just a tiny bit of space, heel is not loose, and my instep is snug but not pinched.

The cushioned EVA sole offers excellent support for both cycling and daily walking activities.4. Secure Fit: The lace-up closure ensures a secure and adjustable fit. The shoes fit true to size, so I recommend choosing your regular athletic shoe size for the best fit.5. Durable and Lightweight: Despite being lightweight, these shoes are durable and well-made. They have held up well through multiple rides and still look and feel great.6. Stylish Look: The design is sleek and modern, making them a stylish addition to my cycling gear. Strikingly beautiful pair of athletic shoes that can potentially boost your cycling performance
Though I've been an avid indoor cyclist for a while, I never thought about getting shoes made for cycling until I came across these. Though looks are subjective, I find these shoes strikingly beautiful. Yes, they do stand out a bit with their edgy styling, but having bought many player signature basketball shoes in my younger years, these look pretty tame in comparison. I love the simple, clean lines, and the light grey and white colorway really complements this design well.I didn’t believe it when one of the reviews mentioned that these shoes improved their cycling times, but once I got on the bike and pedaled at my usual resistance and speed, I immediately noticed how much more effortless it felt. For lack of a better description, pedaling felt way more crisp and efficient. I think much of this is likely due to the rigid outsole, which I believe more directly transfers the power from your legs to the pedal with no wasted energy from any bending. That said, I do have to disagree with some reviews claiming these are just as comfortable as walking shoes. Yes, for short distances at a time, these will do just fine, but for anything more, the rigid outsole will start to feel a bit unnatural. That's too bad because I’d absolutely rock this pair for a run or workouts at the gym.In my opinion, these shoes look incredible, and if you’re cycling in regular trainers, these might just boost your cycling performance like they did for me.

Functional Cycling Shoes, But Not Comfortable For Walking
I received the Vicogn Cycling Shoes from Amazon at no cost, and no parties have influenced this review. All opinions expressed are my own. This review evaluates the shoes based on six criteria:1. Functionality: Do these shoes perform as advertised?2. Design: Are the shoes well-suited for both cycling and walking?3. Quality: Are the materials high-quality?4. Ease of Use: Do the shoes require any special fittings or adjustments?5. Durability: How long are the shoes likely to last?6. Value: Are the shoes reasonably priced for their utility? Each criterion is rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being poor and 5 exceptional. My final recommendation is based on the average of these scores. Let’s dive in!FunctionalityAfter two weeks of cycling and walking in these shoes, I can confirm they perform well for cycling but not for walking. The 2-bolt SPD cleats improve pedaling efficiency, but the cleat base makes walking uncomfortable. While lightweight, the shoes lack softness for longer walks. I rate their functionality a 3.5, deducting points as they are better suited exclusively for cycling.DesignThe shoes are designed primarily for cycling, fitting well with my bicycle pedals. They also have an appealing look. However, balancing cycling functionality with walking comfort is a difficult task, resulting in a trade-off. They are not as soft or flexible for extended walking. I rate the design a 3.5.QualityThe shoes’ upper is made from breathable fabric, and the sole is composed of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which lacks the comfort of memory foam. Despite being firm, the materials feel sturdy and durable, so I rate them a 4 for quality.Ease of UseThe shoes were not immediately cycling-ready, as installing the cleats took a few minutes. Once attached, the cleats worked well on my bicycle. But they needed to be removed for walking. After repeatedly switching, I decided to leave the cleats on and use the shoes for cycling only. This gives the shoes a 3.5 for ease of use.DurabilityI have only worn these shoes for two weeks, so I cannot fully assess their long-term durability. However, the sturdy materials suggest they will hold up over time. For now, I rate durability a 4, with plans to update my review after six months.ValuePriced at $62.99, these shoes are competitive compared to other well-rated options on Amazon. Higher-priced alternatives are strictly cycling shoes, though I have not tested those for comparison. Based on their cycling performance, I rate these shoes a 4 for value, with a point deducted due to their limited comfort for walking.RecommendationWith a mean score of 3.8, I recommend the Vicogn Cycling Shoes as a solid, affordable option for cycling. However, I would not suggest them for walking, as they lack comfort for that purpose.
