The driver's side seat in my wife's vehicle has started to crack on the seat base bolster. The material is a faux leather what Ford calls ActiveX. It feels like vinyl to me. The color is medium light stone. She was originally going to try that leather repair glue but changed her mind and wanted to get repair tape instead. I told her finding tape to match that color is going to be difficult so she decided she'd get a seat cover to put over it.This tape is very easy to cut the shape you want. The tape liner says Crown 513L. Other leather repair tapes I've used claim they are 3M which I've always doubted anyway. The adhesive on this Crown 5131L is very good. This tape is pliable and contours to whatever your sticking it to very well. So well in fact, that you can still slightly see the cracks under the tape.One piece of advice I can give, other than to make sure the leather surface is very clean, is cut the tape so there are no hard corners. In my experience, the corners have a tendency to want to peel up over time. Whenever I've rounded off all corners the tape always stays stuck down.In the listing pictures, the color appears darker and more brown than it actually is, almost like tan. My photo makes it look a bit lighter than it is in person. I would still say the color is beige. Beige can have different undertones so I can't say for certain if this will completely match your beige leather. The tape has a matte finish. It looks like brand new leather.This is one of the better leather repair tapes I've used. It has all the qualities I'd look for in this type of product. If for some reason I feel this tape fails prematurely I will come back and update this review. Recommended.

Overall, this leather tape is a great bang for the buck. Unfortunately, We're having a hard time matching the color of our red leather couch, between fading and, apparently, it being sort of a weird shade. That being said, we normally cover it with pillows anyway, so it's not the end of the world that it doesn't match. I will say, on the color, this brand offered a much bigger variety of colors compared to other listings I've seen, so the fact that they even had two different shades of red to pick from is awesome.So far this repair is holding up better than the last patch we got. It's been about two weeks now and it's still firmly in place without any peeling at the edges.I like the versatility of the tape vs a flat patch as well. If this starts to peel up like our old one, my next tactic is to take the tape and actually wrap it around the bottom of the cushion, so that there will be no edges up top to get caught.The roll has a good bit of material too. We didn't even use half of it to cover this hole, which is about 8.5 x 11, I'd say.

I got this roll of Leather repair tape to repair my front driver's side car seat which was starting to tear just above the crease between the seat and the seat back. This area sees a lot of traffic since I'm constantly getting into and out of my car. I was kinda skeptical at first, and since I didn't need much, I just threw the tape on, no prep such as cleaning/drying. It's held on without a peep for two weeks...I consider that impressive. The tape goes over whatever you're repairing....and if you can plan it a little, you can use the repair tape as a design/feature. In other words if you need to repair a couch arm, place the repair tape like an alternate pattern on the couch...then do the same to the other side of the couch. This will hide the repair as a feature instead....after all the texture may not exactly match what you're working with.

We have a pleather (fake leather) couch that started getting sticky and peeling in 1 spot where your back rests. I tried some tape at first, but that just seemed to make it more sticky after a few days. I found this here on amazon and conveniently it came in a very similar blue color to our couch. I put it on there about a week ago and so far it's held up really nice. I hope it doesn't peel over time, but if it does, I have plenty more to replace it with. Cuts easily to size with scissors and adheres after you push it firmly into position.

Used this on a leather sofa that has lost many battles with the cat. The tape sticks really well -- it should stop the rips from getting bigger! Unfortunately, the color was hard to gauge from this website...it might be worth getting several and sending back the ones that don't work.

The leather repair tape I ordered to fix my kitchen chairs is great! It was so easy to use, and I can’t believe the difference it’s made. I just cut the tape to the shape I needed and slapped it on. It has a sticky tack adhesive, so it’s nice that if you don’t press it on right away, you can easily peel it off and reposition it. Once it’s pressed on, though, it does stick well, so make sure you like the spot you’ve chosen. I really think I have chairs that will be in good shape for at least a few more years. Thanks! There is no odor and the texture feels pretty good. Try using it in an inconspicuous place.It's self-adhesive, so you can cut it to a suitable size and tear it off before attaching it, which is very convenient and easy to use.
