I have tried many ways of trying prevent deer from eating our decorative plants or steeling seed from our bird feeders. Even chasing them away on foot. They always come right back after I come back in the house. However, one good surprise blast from this marine grade air horn, and the deer and squirrels take off in the opposite direction and go deep into the woods, not returning. Often stay away for a week or more. Great tool! Worth every penny, at least for the purpose of protecting plants and bird feeders from destructive critters.

This is a more compact version of another big air horn on these pages. One big difference, that one is over $50 and this on is under 20. In addition, over a year's time that horn mush have had a slow leak as the can is near empty now. This one seems to have much more gas by weight and has so far lasted a few months without any appreciable weight loss I will keep watch and come back here if this happens.It is just as loud subjectively as the other bigger horn and that means its painfully loud.

I use this very loud fog horn every night at dusk to chase the 40 plus turkey buzzards that appear daily to spend the night atop three very large pine trees.They roost up there nightly and leave a mess below them on our driveway.I have been banging pots and pans in the past but that takes a very long time to get them to move on.Now that I use the fog horn, they really get out rather quickly!!I gave it 4 stars because it runs out of steam after the 4th or fifth blow....not sure why but the next night it works again.
