McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract 454 grams

I ordered it from Italy ! Great product liked I remembered!! Shipping time with a 13 day delay but unfortunately caused by the Italian laws . Certainly I will order it again as soon as I'll finish it , waited 23 days but completely worth the time and money !! 😄

Of all the vanilla extracts I have tried, McCormick Vanilla Extract comes out on top for the following reasons: 1.) Price. Let's face it, vanilla is expensive in almost every form. This product remains affordable. I grew up using this, and after trying all the others, I keep returning. 2.) Value. You cannot buy GOOD vanilla at this price anywhere. The is a 16 oz (pint) bottle for $20! Find me another good brand at this excellent price! 3.) Consistency. This vanilla, as I understand, is a blend of the world's various vanilla beans. As each variety has its own unique flavor, McCormicks blend remains consistent. You cannot tell the difference between bottles, which speaks highly of the consistency. The scent is heavenly and complex. It does NOT smell boozy. 4.) Alcohol content, yeah it's there. It's not overpowering and the vanilla really comes through, not the alcohol. 5. Flavor: the flavor is consistent and predictable. No surprises. The bottle is now plastic, which I have not noticed affects the taste. I actually dropped it (closed) and it did not break. The flip-top lid stays closed. These are the reasons I keep coming back to this brand. Believe me, you can spend a LOT more for a lesser product.

I only gave three stars because after waiting three months it arrived. Huge disappointment. I know extract is pricey due to the length of time it take to make. I will make my own. I opened the bottle and my nose was assaulted with an awful pungent odor, so strong I did not even dare use it. I got over myself and used it for an iced coffee, yuck...

The bottle is well-sealed, easy to pour (even when your hands are sticky from dough), and small enough to store anywhere—but don’t be fooled by the size. This tiny titan will last a long time and leave a trail of deliciousness wherever it goes. Final thoughts? If you're serious about baking, or just want your Saturday pancakes to taste like they were kissed by angels, stop messing around with fakes. McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract is the only way. This McCormick Vanilla Extract is the one that I grew up with. Many people giving low reviews say that the extract here tastes like it has too much alcohol, like the alcohol has too much of a concentrated taste. So, I looked it up. In order to be considered Pure Vanilla Extract, it must have a minimum of 35% alcohol by volume (ABV) (equivalent to 70 proof). The remainder of the liquid is water and 13.35 ounces of vanilla beans per gallon. So, there you have it! The companies Must put in this amount of alcohol for it to be considered an extract. And why do they use so much alcohol? The alcohol acts as a solvent drawing out the flavor from the extract. As far as the baking performance, I use this vanilla baked into chocolate cookies and it tastes good overall. The quality of the vanilla seems good. The brown color is quite typical of vanilla extracts. It tastes out of the bottle like a lot of alcohol mixed with vanilla extract. It tastes very concentrated. So, out of the bottle it doesn't taste good for sure at least to me. There was no leakage from the bottle. It was closed well upon arrival. . The reason that this is not a 5 stars review is because in my limited experience, the larger size McCormick Vanilla Extract tastes the same as this Small Batch one. So, I would have done better to simply purchase the larger size only for the cost savings.
