You really need to get the right size and fit it properly, the manufacturers web site has a good guide there. You can also buy a rather expensive pro-seal which makes it fit better and easier to breathe with. The mask does make breathing a little bit harder but it's worth it. I would have had trouble with this when I first started cycling ( I was very unfit ) but I bought this after I got a bit fit so it was only a slight problem. Where I cycle, you can taste the fumes, they are horrible, but with this on, I can't taste the fumes anymore. I am very happy with my purchase. The body of the mask is neoprene, so it's a lot softer than it looks.However be aware you need to replace the filters regularly and they are not free, to make a sensible decision you need to factor in the cost of the filters which you will have to replace at least once a month. I dropped a star for the prices involved. I think it's a little bit over the top price wise.

Not at all well fitting or comfortable. I bought the large and the pressure over the bridge of my nose was too much to make using it viable. The strap is too low for it to properly secure the mask over your face and it because it's pulling from your neck, it naturally pulls the mask down on your face, making your nose the only thing to anchor it on your face and hence why it's so uncomfortable. A second strap higher up the head would improve this. An XL size might have helped me but the seller refused to accept a return on hygiene grounds so it's been a total waste of money.

According to my research before buying an anti-pollution mask, this is among the ones that -on paper -block more pollutants, but I am not a scientist and I have no way to test or verify those claims. What I do know is that cities are heavily polluted and I prefer at least have some sort of protection, even if its effectiveness is doubtful. I find the mask slightly uncomfortable, but not too much. Aesthetically I quite like the style and I can confirm that the metal nose ridge makes it a bit tricky to wear sunglasses.

I am very happy with the mask.The reason I bought it was because it felt like I was doing more harm than good by cycling in London and inhaling the fumes. I also developed a cough which I think started because I started cycling to work on a regular basis. Since using the mask I don't smell car exhaust when in traffic and I don't have a cough. Before buying the mask I had read in other reviews that the masks restricted air flow and were very uncomfortable. While I can't say it's unnoticeable, I don't find wearing the mask a problem and I don't have a problem with breathing. My commute is 40 mins one way and there are a few sizable hills to negotiate. There is some build up of moisture in the mask over the ride but the valves do their job well and you find only a small amount of residue and some dampness in the mask after the ride. For me, wearing a mask while you ride is perhaps not ideal but it is much better than the alternative of inhaling car fumes on a daily basis!

I use this commuting in London on my scooter wearing it under my full face helmet, it takes a bit of getting used to having extra padding around your cheeks, but now feels weird when I don't wear it. I have both sizes large and medium, I think I have an average face, the medium is very fitted if a bit small on, then the large is ever slightly loose. but I were the large.I feel the benefits when wearing it. I am very sensitive to fumes and dust in general, i feel I am 90% protected from fumes, somtimes fumes get in but most of the time it's blocked out.

The only real feedback I'd give is to make sure the size you're buying is right for your face. Go on their website and read their destructions for how to fit the mask properly as an incorrect fitting mask can leave you with pressure sores on your nose.

I use these to minimise Hayfever in the summer and for this it is excellent. they are a little pricey, but the build quality is excellent.I bought one in a shop last year and was advised the wrong size.. so this time I took the measurements per the manufacturer (measured top of nose to under chin) and got a good fit.It does restrict airflow a little, but then this is just the nature of physics...I wore it when driving a convertible in the city to reduce the pollution I'm breathing in.. I will say you get some funny looks..

I used this while in heavily polluted china and it worked a treat! The photo is of the dirt gathered in the mask after 1 week in Lanzhou China during October when the air quality is very very bad. Makes you wonder how much of the invisible particles are being stopped as they are the ones that drives up bad air quality!

Questa maschera non sfigurerebbe in un film da olocausto atomico. Quando la metterete vi sentirete pronti ad attraversare le terre desolate :)Scherzi a parte, si presenta ben rifinita, anche se in soldoni si stratta di una fascia in neoprene con l'attacco per una mascherina antismog, che può - e deve - essere sostituita. La fascia ha una chiusura in velcro ed è piuttosto larga: per dare un'idea della mia testa io uso caschi di taglia M/L e per chiudere la fascia che ho preso, la M, devo tirare tanto da incrociare le estremità in velcro per chiuderla bene.La maschera infatti per lavorare correttamente deve essere ben aderente alla faccia, altrimenti l'aria inquinata passa dagli spifferi e non dal filtro della mascherina. Per migliorare la tenuta è presente una clip in metallo che va stretta, con le dita, sul naso (non troppo o vi tappa le narici). La maschera è indossata bene se espirando con decisione non si sente l'aria soffiare negli occhi o nel mento. Una volta fissata correttamente, durante l'inspirazione l'aria passa dal filtro antigas bianco mentre in fase di espirazione si aprono le valvole frontali per farla uscire direttamente, in questo modo si minimizza l'ingresso di aria inquinata non filtrata.Ormai la utilizzo da circa un mese e devo dire che fa il suo lavoro. In moto mi capita spesso in autostrada di trovarmi imbottigliato nel traffico pesante dentro le gallerie e grazie a questa maschera non si sente il minimo odore, potrete anche infilare la testa nello scarico di un tir che non sentirete nulla (e m'è capitato di finire in mezzo alla classica fumata nera). Ad essere pignoli c'è un particolare odore di gas di alcuni tir che filtra leggermente, quello dall'odore acre (non saprei essere più specifico ma è più simile al gas da cucina che al normale scarirco delle auto), ma comunque la differenza rispetto a respirarlo senza mascherina è innegabile.A livello di comfort non è troppo fastidiosa da indossare ma sotto il casco integrale il peso dello stesso tende a spingerla verso il basso costringendo a continui aggiustamenti, a meno che non si azzecchi la posizione giusta. Per chi la vuole usare sotto un casco integrale attenzione, la mascherina sporge dal viso di circa 3 centimetri e potrebbe dare fastidio alla chiusura. A me non è successo ma comunque è una cosa da sapere.Importante: la maschera vera e propria è un filtro ai carboni attivi che ha durata limitata. Va cambiato ogni paio di mesi o comunque quando è visibilmente troppo sporco. Può essere lavato in acqua bollente (la procedura è sul sito del produttore) ma solo per igenizzare la parte a contatto con la faccia, non serve a rigenerare il filtro.In definitiva un prodotto davvero valido ed indispensabile per chi passa molto tempo in mezzo al traffico pesante.

La mascherina migliore che abbia mai utilizzato finora ! la uso da qualche anno sulla mia e-bike tutti i gg nel tragitto casa lavoro (e non solo) in una delle strade cittadine più trafficate (Napoli) , usata in tutte le condizioni climatiche. Il filtro dura tantissimo (personalmente l'ho anche lavato per riutilzzarlo). Non può mancare nell'abbigliamento del ciclista cittadino !NB: soffro di asma allergica ed ho notato la differenza di quando percorro le stesse strade a piedi senza indossare la mascherina e vi assicuro che la differenza è notevole !

Aunque tenga el casco de moto semiabierto (un jet con protector de mandíbula), antes o después se empaña el visor si me pongo esta máscara y lo tengo que quitar para ver algo. A lo mejor está diseñado más para ciclistas o para cascos de moto completamente abiertos.Un Bonus: también sirve para el Halloween ;).

Cuesta adaptarse un poco al principio a la posición de la máscara y a la respiración a través de las válvulas pero, una vez le coges la medida y te adaptas al flujo de aire que puedes pedir, casi te olvidas que la llevas puesta.Había leído que se nota mucho la falta de aire, y no es tanta la diferencia. Hago 16km de bici todos los días al trabajo (8 ida y 8 de vuelta) por el centro de Madrid y se agradece tener un filtro frente a los gases de los coches y autobuses.

Son de calidad y hacen su función, lo único que al principio huele un poco a neopreno pero cuando lo usas un par de veces el olor desaparece. También es verdad que para mi me resulta un poco incomoda ya que me tira un poco de la cara hacia abajo y tengo que estar sujetándola, eso ya depende de cada uno si lo considera una molestia o no.

Después de probar otras mascaras mas baratas, sin duda merece la pena pagar un poco mas por tener calidad.Cuesta acostumbrarse los primeros días, pero una vez te haces, cuando vas raro es los días que no te la pones. evacuación de la respiración buena, buen ajuste, quizás un poco calurosas en verano por el neopreno, pero merece la pena.

la máscara resulta muy útil para pedalear por ciudades con tráfico denso... elimina gran parte de los olores y filtra bien... por contra es un poquito aparatosa y reduce el flujo de oxígeno... no es lo más cómodo del mundo pero sin duda después de probarla prefiero ir con ella que a pulmón descubierto...

Hola, el artículo me llegó con dos semanas de retraso respecto de la fecha prevista, que ya era larga.Por otra parte al probarlo he comprobado que no resulta cómodo para respirar, deja pasar poco aire, se crea vaho producto de la respiración y el calor de manera que no se puede compaginar con gafas sin que estas se empañen. Desconozco si es una característica común a otras mascarillas para la contaminación pero hace difícil habituarse al uso de la misma.

Sono stato deluso da questa maschera, forse era difettosa non so ma i gas di scarico entravano perché L anelloNon chiudeva bene sul naso. Pagata a peso d’oro perché i prezzi sono saliti per la psicosi coronavirus... per questo prezzo mi aspetto di più mi dispiace ho dovuto restituire anche se mi è dispiaciuto perché dalla descrizione sembrava buona

Dopo due mesi di utilizzo la fascetta metallica ha ceduto. e quindi non c'è tenuta all'altezza del dorso nasale.Peccato perché sembrava avere i suoi effetti filtranti.Perché non mettere nella descrizione anche la durata di vita ipotetica dell'articolo così che un utente decide se acquistare questo od altro articolo più costoso che ha una durata maggiore

Yo uso la máscara con la moto a diario. No es lo más cómodo y te tienes que acostumbrar un poco, pero en unos días te haces a ello y se agradece. En mi caso me lo compré para evitar los efectos de la alergia primaveral y me funciona perfecto. De paso me ahorro respirar tanto humo del tráfico de la ciudad.La calidad de los materiales es muy buena. Muy recomendable y la salud lo agradece.

Molto efficace, ripara anche del freddo. Se portate occhiali, e si appannano, abbiate cura di fissare più in alto la maschera: non si appannano più.

Es una mascara de calidad y hace su función a las mil maravillas...la única pega es el precio, pero supongo que la calidad se paga.

Aunque el velcro me ha estropeado algun que otro pañuelo, estoy contenta porque (autosugestión o no) fue empezar a usarlo y acabarse mis problemas de bronquios y tos persistente. Indispensable en ciudad.
