Handsome and holds a goodly number of items and is made to last
This purse is replacing another new purse that had heavy duty zippers that didn't last longer than a month. It is great knowing that I can trust the main closure to be secure and not lose the contents of the bag. It is large enough to carry a fair bit, but isn't so bulky that it gets in the way. I love that I can wear it over one shoulder, straight down, or cross body, and that it is comfortable either way. Plus, the strap can be adjusted so that I can carry it as a handbag. I imagine, if I was six feet tall, I would extend the strap to the fullest and I bet I could wear over the shoulder.I am a pocket loving sort, so I was dubious about having a partition that wasn't a pocket partition. However, I am finding that I have been able to fit all the items I need to carry with me. It was a tad tight at first, but once the purse's leather started to "give" from about a week's use, I gained extra space so that I can tuck something(s) extra in while I am out and about. As well, the front closure can be adjusted to one of two positions, in case there is a need to accommodate fitting in things that require a bit more room at the top. This is an "every day" purse that I can take almost anywhere, including to most business settings.I treated the bag to give it longevity. I haven't noticed a smell that others have mentioned. This bag will last me for years and years to come, which is good news since I love it! I have also been given many compliments. I have even been asked to share the URL!An invisible selling feature, for me, is that the purse doesn't come from China.

Very stylish
This is such a cool, unique looking purse. The stitching is very well done and the straps are pretty thick and durable. It's a bit on the small side, but that's what I was looking for. It does smell very strongly at first, but letting it air out for a while took care of that and now it just has a faint leathery smell. The only thing I didn't like was the buckle on the front, so I just took off the metal piece that goes through the holes on the strap and now it's much easier to open and close.

Exact right size
I was needing something a little smaller that won't hurt my shoulder and back. This comes distressed just a pictured and smells like a leather saddle. Love it. Seems well made

Good value
I read all of the reviews before purchasing this purse. I went in hopefully, with full expectation of having an odour. There is, indeed, an odour. Also, the leather was a bit dry. I suspect this odour everyone is complaining about is the tannin used to tan (work) the leather. I(t's goat skin. In the review I put three stars for thickness - goat skin is not a thick leather. As with all of my new leather I get, I rework the leather with a cream. For this I used a mink oil. After working the dry leather, it shines, and the lovely colour deepened! But more than that, it came immediately back to life. It just soaked it in. By re-working the leather I also cleaned it, which removed at least half of the smell, and I suspect that the rest will fade. The interior of the purse is a loose woven, green, cotton material, which I have no idea how it will hold up. Again, I'm hopeful. (An aside, the leather bag I bought, from a different seller, appears to have the exact same lining. I'm amused how they match!)Other than the odour and slight dryness issue, both easily dealt with, I really like this little purse. It's actually larger than I had expected, has good pockets, and the zippers are well done. The metal workings on it are average. I suspect this little purse is going to last me a good while. I'm pretty pleased!

Want to get the stink out? Here’s how!
I absolutely LOVE THIS BAG, but it stinks to high heavens! So here’s what I did to get all the stickiness out!1. Mix 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water in a spray bottle.2. Test spot it with 1 spray in a discreet area to make sure it doesn’t damage your bag or change the color of the leather (mine was fine when I test spotted it..but do it anyway)3. Spray the outside, inside, flaps and strap. You can spray the material to…DONT DOUSE IT completely…just a spray all around (yes it’ll smell like the vinegar for a while but the smell dissipates as it dries. Just be patient and let it dry fully)4. Wipe it down gently with a lint free cloth (I used a dish towel) everywhere you sprayed..don’t rub..it can ruin the leather. Get in the creases and folds as well5. Let it air dry by putting it in the sun in indirect sunlight6. If it didn’t get the stink out completely, repeat steps 1-5 again.7. Once dried, apply leather conditioner and TA DA! Stink should be gone and you don’t have to return it!If you’re ok with the color/how distressed it currently looks (when you first got it) and level of stiffness use white vinegar. If you want a more distressed look and want to soften the leather a smidge you can use apple cider vinegar (FYI…the white vinegar was slightly more effective for the smell) but remember to always test spot an area before spraying the whole bag.

Beautiful very bad smelling purse.
This item has a waxy sticky finish that smells horrible. I even hung it outside hoping to air it. It actually made my porch smell terrible. I liked it's design, but it's worthless to me.

Not again.
I was looking forward to getting my handbag. Just came in. I was very disappointed. The color is beautiful. But the size is small. That was my fault. I should have read the dimensions. But the outside buckle broke off as I was taking off the plastic. Very unhappy.

Quality
I LOVE this bag! It is really well-made.Quality is top notch, I can’t believe how inexpensive it is. It’s the perfect size. It fits my iPad, iPhone, large wallet, sunglasses, make up bag, and a bunch of other stuff! It’s perfect for work, and every day use! One of the best purchases from Amazon I’ve ever made. I shop a lot, but I rarely post reviews. My husband calls it my Indiana Jones bag. 😂
