This is a very nice bicycle headlight and it is only a replacement light for the CycleBeam Light Kit.What's in the box?* The flashlight itselfThis is an excellent flashlight that throws a bright and uniform light beam without the use of a lens reflector in the flashlight. You can even focus the beam to get a longer throw on the beam distance. The light has 5 modes of operation..* High 930 Lumen with 1 hour of battery life* Medium 530 Lumen with 2 hours and 10 minutes of battery time* Low 100 Lumen with 10 hours and 30 minutes of battery time* Strobe (Very nice to use in the day or at night)* SOS signalThe Flashlight is made of aircraft Aluminum and it is professionally black anodized. It is impact resistant to a drop of 6.6 feet. It is water resistant to IPX6 which means it has passed a test of being hosed with a water jet of 26.4 gallons per minute at 14.5 PSI for 3 minutes. The flashlight does have a tail switch push button to control the on/off and switch the lighting modes. The threads of the end of the flashlight were greased with silicone grease and that is important to prevent the aluminum from galling and to also make the flashlight more water resistant.The flashlight does not have an internal reflector but the light beam is uniform in brightness and at a distance of 25 feet from an object the diameter of the beam is about 20 feet and very bright. The bulb is a Cree XM-L2-T6 LED. You can focus the beam by rotating the flashlight head and that will narrow the beam and extend the range of the beam.The strobe mode is very useful for night and daylight use as it makes you and your bike very visible from a distance. The strobe light really brings attention to you and it is bright enough to ride the bike by only using the strobe for very high visibility and safety even at night. I would use it even in the daylight.The ability to use this on a bike or to grab it and use it for a flashlight is very nice. The head of the flashlight is crowned and could even be used as a defensive weapon if you needed to use it that way. It is designed for use with lithium ion 18650 batteries.This is a good product and I rated it at 5 stars.I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation.
