Cosmos 'Purity' / Large white flowers all summer / Seeds

I first came across Cosmos Purity when I ordered some garden plants from another garden supplier. The seeds came in a packet as a free gift. When I sowed these seeds, they germinated very quickly and soon grew vigorously into nice sturdy young plants. I've never known plants grow so well, apart from dandelions -;)! I transplanted some of these flowers in some planters and a good quality compost and they grew to a height of about 1 metre, with a profusion of lovely white flowers that lasted all through the summer and well into autumn until the frosts came. They are easy to maintain, just give them plenty of water in warm weather, early in the morning, and deadhead the old flowers and that's it. The stalks are strong and self supporting, but in windy conditions they can blow about a bit - and also the large flowers can get a little bit top heavy - so they might need a couple of garden canes and some jute string just to keep them under control and looking tidy - otherwise they're no problem and well worth trying!

Very happy with the seeds received, very high germination rate. at a very good price.

Very easy to grow, having never before grown plants from seeds. (Planted in trays indoors) Huge plants lots of flowers. Much cheaper than buying as bedding plants which I usually do. So what if some fail still get lots of flowers for your money

These seeds took, grew & looked amazing all summer in my mums garden.

Out of the 20 seeds I sowed, only 5 of them germinated and 2 have died since then.I hope the ones that do survive have pretty flowers later this summer.Not great seeds. Cheap sure but only 25% germination rate

These seeds came much quicker than the expected delivery date. Almost 100% germination too. They are yet to be big enough to flower so I guess I can't confirm that they are the right colour and they came in an unmarked bag without a picture but the seedlings are very strong.

Seeds arrived quickly but are just in a small pouch no details of the plant sowing or flowering.....nothing at all. What you see on Amazon is all you get, but theres plenty of seeds so for the price what the hell sow and see

Easy to operate item - you sow the seeds and they grow! Fantastic flowering plant, just keep deadheading and they last until the first frosts. Good plant for beginners or children.
