Do not buy these, poor quality and not as per the picture.
The product delivered was not as shown in the picture and poor quality. The adjustment was with a black plastic clamp leaver which didn't hold the adjusted pole in position and the only way I could stop it slipping was by using gaffer tape around the joint. It didn't have a metal turn screw as shown in the picture. I would have returned them but I purchased them last minute before a camping trip and was forced to use them with gaffer tap for my tarp cooking shelter.

Not as described, but probably, hopefully, ok.
I received my poles a week or so ago and the first thing to mention is they are not like the ones pictured. The pictures shows a metal, triangular screw to secure and adjust the pole height. The poles also appear to be totally separate. However, the ones delivered to me are all linked together with bits of wire and the clips are plastic.Everything appear to be of the expected quality for the price and manufacturer, with the product card mentioning a 2 year Vango warranty. I will be trying them out next week on a camping trip and time will tell how they perform and last.

Not pleased with product supplied
The poles supplied were not as pictured. They are wired and the clip for the telescopic extension is plastic. Under pressure supporting one corner of a tarpaulin roof the telescopic extension would not hold so the maximum height was the unextended poles which was not high enough. In general these seem quite flimsy - they may do for a tent canopy but not for anything heavy duty.

Adjustable height!
Very good quality and I love that you can adjust the height of the poles to suit your requirements. They will be just what I need when I go camping this year to adjust the height of my tent tarp so I can stand without bending when cooking etc and yet adjust to a lower height when it's raining and let the rain fall off when themtarp is angled for height etc.

Good, flawed but fixable to make a good variable height tarp pole
Have brought a multitude of tarp poles over the year. None have been perfect and most rubish even expensive ones. These are pretty good but the latches as people say are plastic now - not a problem in itself. But its a bit random how strong they lock. I had 3 sets, 6 poles and on each, the plastic latch pushed out the friction locking bit slightly more or less. Some locked great, others gave easily. The good news is with a bit of plastic inserted (like from a yoghurt pot, possibly doubled) into the mechanism on the outside of the pole you can make it push the friction bit in further locking the poles more thoroughly.

Not as pictured. Cheap plastic rubbish.
Poles not as pictured. The adjuster is a cheap and flimsy plastic moulding, so cheap and flimsy that one arrived broken rendering the pole useless. In general, I find Vango have fallen a very long way from their historical high quality and most of their stuff now is rubbish. However I did think I would actually get the sturdy metal parts shown in the picture. Mistake.

Uninspired and not like the image.
Like many other reviewers I received the type different to that currently shown in the picture. Initially I thought they may be fakes but Vango Fb did confirm they sold such a product. The rods are a bit flimsy especially when fully extended, the bag arrived damaged and they have yellow guy ropes. They feel like a much cheaper product with a heaftier price tag. When using them they did hold the porch/awning in place but they did wobble at the joins.

Misleading picture, quality product
This product is NOT the one advertised in the picture. The picture shows four individual poles that push together with a metal height adjuster screw. As you can see from my picture the item sent is held together with a sprung metal wire and has a plastic height adjustment assembly. The poles are sturdy and the adjustment assembly looks robust. The guide ropes are a decent length and the pegs are strong.
