Penlaser Digital Mini 50 Ft Laser Distance Meter Measure Pen With Laser Pointer, Packed in PU Case, For Home DIY

As with any digital measuring device, I was skeptical at first. However, once I began using the device, I felt more comfortable with the measurements. I did check the accuracy with a known distance (measured by manual tape) and the penlaser digital meter was right on the money. My father just purchased a building for his retirement hobby (selling 74 years of collected junk) and he mentioned that he needed to measure the internal dimensions for cabinets and storage. I broke out the pen laser and within a few minutes we had the building dimensions, including the angled ceiling (added storage so dad can break a hip climbing). I have to say that I am very impressed with the penlaser measuring tool and total accuracy. I would definitely recommend this product for the hobbyist, the professional, and retirees looking for adventure, like my dad.One item of note: when reading the digital indicator, the distance measured includes the length of the penlaser device. Instructions are not clear on this point, however the instructions do provide the penlaser dimensions.Pros:Sturdy, well made and designedEasy to read indicatorBright backlit display.Easy operation.Very nice carry case.Cons:Battery operated - needs USB charging.Instructions need to specify laserpen length in is included in measurement displayed.Laser pointer is nice but not necessary. I've used high-end laser measures at a previous job and fell in love with them. I no longer have a need to measure 250' so this is more than adequate. It'd definitely accurate, but you always have to be on the left side of it to read it right-side up, which is mildly annoying. You cannot see the laser dot outside beyond 7'-9' but indoors it's nice & bright. I'm amazed by how cheap this was, it comes in a decent case, the regular laser pointer feel sturdy as hell, and it even came with a cute li'l thank you card. LoL! Anyone who gave bad reviews had some bad luck and probably got a better replacement; no complaints here. Yet. haha

The device works as it should. It can even change the measurements from the imperial to the metric system by just leaving the on button pressed for 3 seconds but when I first tried the measurements were not working properly. I found out that I had to add the distance of the device in some cases which, thankfully, it is in the back of it. By adding that distance, again only in some cases that depend on where you position the device, I got the correct measurement. I just had to adapt myself to the way it works and it is and incredibly useful tool! It also includes a case and a laser pointer (No idea why but love those things anyway!)

I like: gives me the measurement I need, easy enough to use, comes with a mini laser for pets, usually more expensive in stores like H depot, comes with a case for protection.I don't like: batteries don't last for too long if you are planing to use it very frequently.In general, for your in house projects, yes, pretty good and cheap.

There is a lcd black patch on the display. It came in a nice casing and it’s super useful to quickly measure. Being light helps. Mostly useful at home for non professional purposes.

This is the best purchase that I made recently!It has good casing, easy to carry, user-friendly, also it has an additional laser pan come with the package to help with better use this product.Sometimes I buy something on Amazon because I attracted by the fancy marketing pics and when I receive the real item, got disappointed. The quality maybe color are totally different with description. But this one is absolutely fancy as the picture shows.I'm not really a review writing person, but this product really helps me a! lot!If you have any request to measure short/mid distance, it's a perfect item you need to buy!

Accuracy is good if you don;'t need absolute precision. Has continuous reading, small screen and relatively narrow base so it is somewhat hard to hold steady against a surface and read the measurement, which is constantly changing if it moves. Would be better to have a larger base and a button to lock in the reading. But excellent value for the price if you only need precision within a half-inch or so.

Very inexpensive and accurate measuring device. I am finishing my basement and this little unit has saved lots of time and frustration of using a tape measure. Also helps in providing straight lines for setting walls. I do have a laser straight line device designed for hanging shelves and pictures but this unit gives the straight line and the measurements!
