I own a LOT of tents. This one goes up FASTER than any of them! I personally think an awning is not vital for camping, but it's certainly not a negative. I'm not sure why it bills itself as a "glamping" tent. I'd take it hardcore backpacking (Check the weight) Highly recommended!

I'm going to give you some helpful info here. First, this tent is awesome. You probably want to get rid of your old tent and get this one. We did.This was easy to assemble and has a lot of nice features. All four sides can be fully closed, open with mesh and a door, or fully open. Most tents only have a door on one side.There is also a nice vent system on top that allows air to pass in and out while also protecting from rain. These pop up quickly with a firm fabric-y pole that sticks to the velcro. (See photo) There is also a little ridge to keep rain water out.Instead of rummaging through bits of pole trying to figure out which one goes where, this pole is just one continuous pole that doesn't fully separate. (They are like tubes with rope in the middle) This makes setting it up very easy. The poles also go on the outside of the tent, like an exo-skeleton, which means you aren't accidentally tearing holes in the tent because you don't feed the pole through the tent material.The most difficult thing about setting up was finding the two loops for the top of the tent. It wasn't awful, but I recommend you tie a piece of bright ribbon to these so that you can set up more quickly in the future.What is really amazing to me is that this comes down in about 5 minutes and rolls up into a bag the size of a rolled blanket. Does not take up a lot of room at all.

Very nice tent that sets up easily and looks great. It’s lightweight as well and I had no problem hiking with it on my pack (hike was under a mile I wouldn’t recommend for a 20 mile hike lol) perfect for my fishing trip/hike would recommend
