Great Quality but Missing a Few Key Foods
I ordered both this set and the "more foods" set by the same company. I plan to laminated them and put magnets on the back for the fridge so my toddler can show me food preferences since she has a slight speech delay. Overall, I am impressed with the range of foods, quality of the photos, and the ease with which the foods could be identified by a toddler. There are, however, several common toddler/preschool foods that are missing - milk (!), applesauce, yogurt, oatmeal, bell peppers (there are chili peppers), baby carrots (there are regular carrots), chicken nuggets (or even a drumstick- there is only a whole cooked bird, either turkey or chicken), meatballs, peanut butter (there is a PBJ sandwich), and any sort of fish/shellfish - either a filet or "fish sticks". There also aren't any condiments besides honey.

Real Photos!
Using these cards to help my son pick choices of the things he cannot express; he's has special needs. Love the pictures because they are not like cartoon pictures, they use real pictures. They will have to be laminated if you want to keep them for a long time. Good buy!

Exactly what I was looking for
Cards and pictures are large. Pictures are good quality and they are sturdy enough to go over the pictures with my 3 year old and play games like setting up a food market where my child sells food to customers.

I bought these for my mother because she has macular degeneration. My brother and sister in law do her grocery shopping and even when she would write things down on her list she couldn't read what she wrote. She now goes through the pictures and sets aside what she needs and if she wants to know what she has selected later she just goes through the pictures that she has set aside.

Only OK
I didn't buy this to teach foods. We do that at the grocery store and mealtimes. I couldn't even recognize what food was portrayed on one of the cards. If like me, you are interested in pictures for teaching phonics, the basic sounds having multiple representatives are c, s, b and t. Some sounds, in terms of word beginningd are missing altogether..

Perfect Visual Tool for Many Uses
These cards have been a wonderful tool not only for literacy but for identification of which foods belong in which food groups. They are just the right size and can be used to work with ESL students as well.
