Very useful!!
I just picked up the new Mooer CAB X2cabinet simulator pedal, not knowing exactly what to expect. Of course, I assumed it would just emulate a handful of classic cabinets, but beyond that I wasn’t sure. After taking some time to experiment with the unit, I discovered how useful it really is! Yes, it does simulate 11 different guitar and bass cabs so right out of the box it does what you think. The Level, High-Cut and Low-Cut knobs let you dial in the tone right away and the Cab selector knob is self-explanatory, no surprises there. The really cool part of the X2 is the “stereo” or multi cab options. If you like to record or experiment with different amps or cabs, you can do that right in the box. You’re given the ability to select, customize and combine any two cabs and send them to your mixer or DAW with 2 separate lines (left and right) and then use the Latency knob to effectively ad a bit of delay between left and right signals and giving you more of a true stereo sound! If you download the free editing software, which you definitely will want, you can further teak the tones and save them to any of the 14 available presets. The A/B button is a neat added feature, but maybe not the most useful. Bottom line is, although it is a pedal, it’s not actually intended for live use but it is a fairly powerful tool for recording.*One more comment- You will want to download the manual from the Mooer website since the manual included is not the most useful thing in the world.Pros-Lots of cabs to choose from.Easy to edit tones (especially with the software).Simultaneous cabinet options for stereo sounds.Cons-Not the most intuitive out of the box.Included manual is not very helpful.

The speaker output CANNOT be grounded or it makes loud buzzy noises!
(edit) I originally left a poor review because I could not get this unit to work without making a huge amount of buzzy noise, but I figured it out.The fix is to float the speaker output. I.e., make sure the output jack doesn't make contact with any ground path, including 3-prong power ground, chassis ground, or signal ground.I'd tried lifting the power supply ground, replacing the power supply, transformer-coupling the input, and nothing worked until I tried floating the speaker output ground (I'm driving a Leslie 16 speaker cab, and the custom controller had the speaker grounded). The sound quality is excellent, and the unit is noise-free as long as the output is wired properly. The tone switch is a nice touch, and provides two very usable settings.Only 4-stars because Mooer wasted my time and money not leaving that very important wiring detail off their packaging.

An Excellent Guitar Recording Solution!
My home studio is not conducive to recording electric guitar the traditional way with a mic in front of the amp speaker because the acoustic sound of the string strumming gets picked up. So, I needed a way to record directly without it sounding terrible. I have an old solid state Fender amp with a direct preamp out, so that gives me the perfect setup to go into the Cab x2 pedal. I really like that I can have two different cabinets on each side, or I can have one side unaffected and go back into the amp. All the cabinet simulations sound really good, not harsh at all, and I will try loading some other IRs in the future. I also like that there are some bass cabs as well. Excellent pedal!

Great sound and very easy to use.
Overall I was very suprised and happy with this little pedal. I've been going straight into my Apolo 8 interface and trying different direct in/channel strip options for a better tone. I put this at the end of my signal chain (pic included) and found a tone I liked right away without plugging into a computer or changing many of my settings. This is definitely for tracking or situations where you're going in direct so it probably won't do much going into an amp. But if you're direct tone sounds too dry, thin, or buzzy, this pedal gives you the kind of electric guitar tone you're expecting.

Times are changing!
This little sucker packs a punch!! 30 watts dosen't seem like a lot but trust me, its LOUD. Drives my 4x12 with no problem, dosen't effect my tone, clear and fairly quiet. There is a slight hiss but nothing distracting or annoying. No more lugging around heavy and bulky heads, even though a fancy expensive mesa head looks great and impressive, i know because i owned a badlander. With these micro boxes being made these days you can get any tone you want or need without going into debt over it. Who cares what other people think. Do what sounds good to you.

EXCEPTIONAL
Excellent and creative electrical engineering with this little baby amp. Clear, ultra clean, and a very accurate projection of my guitars pickups and my playing style (heavy blues and dark jazz). Massive headroom - pedals delight in showing off their ability with this amp. Very controllable. Provides lots of options for tone and vibes with your rig. If your looking for a very nice amp regardless of output volume order this, I feel you will appreciate what it has to offer. Build quality feels rugged and durable. Packaging is top of the line (which gives the initial impact of a company that takes pride in their product) unit comes with it's own power source, saving valuable time and stress in trying to make sure a correct power source is obtained. I feel this is a very fine piece of equipment that will provide the guitarist a valuable source of clean power that won't determine the artist's tone for the artist but rather allows the artist to explore and create their own tone through their manipulation of pre-amp pedals and individual technique.

Insanely loud but not a 5 for one reason
I bought this to power a homemade guitar cabinet with a 12” Jensen speaker. While it is very loud, there isn’t a gradual roll on of volume. I have it on less than 1 and still loud enough to practice in the house. It has a ton of volume and very clear tone but if it rolled on a bit more gradual I would give it a 5.

Problem solved, right here
Perfect way to record with a tube head, and not have to worry about micing a cab, room noise, etc. The Greenback is a great go-to for the heavy sound. Great bass cabs for some real-feel vibe with the Rick 4003. It does get pretty warm, as it uses an 18v power adapter (included). Works perfect with the Captor 8.If mine crapped out, I'd buy another one, easy.

Buen power amp

It's a solid product, but the sound quality / feel just isn't quite there.
Software is stable and works well, lots of options and surprisingly intuitive. Way better than the software loader I have for my Mooer Radar. Unfortunately, I found that the tone stacks all sounded.... too similar? As if the knobs were fixed around certain frequencies and the models didn't really have enough flexibility. Very odd. It's pretty cool being able to load amp captures from other users via the Mooer website. Some of them are really good, but you have to dig through them. The cab sim doesn't sound good and swapping cabs is impossible if you don't have it plugged into a computer. Major oversight there. I think it's because they sell a dedicated cab sim pedal for the same price, which has some cool features like a stereo spread / widening effect.the software was so good I found myself messing with the pedal plugged in, instead of using the knobs... that made me realize I could just as easily load something more powerful / flexible, whether in Amplitube or some plugins in a DAW. It sounded decent into the effects return of my tube amp (JCM-like), but not quite good enough to justify keeping.Mooer makes some great stuff, but I prefer the basic Joyo AC Tone / American Sound pedals, which are knockoffs of the discontinued Tech 21 Character series. My old THR5 also stomps all over this for similar money on the used market. I'm not sure why Tech 21 doesn't make those pedals again and add some new features. Oh well! The search continues. I probably should've gone for a full fledged modeler like an HX Stomp or Ampero II.This might be exactly what you want / need, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Thankfully Amazon has a pretty good return policy, so it's fairly low risk to try. Good luck!

Impresionante!!!
