Original part. Packaged well
Item boxed and arrived undamaged - not always true with cheaper spares. Exactly the same as the element removed from a Hotpoint HUD61, down to small manufacturing details that it’s hard to image anyone would try to imitate. So I’m content it is an original part. Easy swap-out that most people could do.

Fittings different but still works fine
Element not the same as picture but the spade ends still push on ok, it works, that's the main thing. Though it was a day late at arriving with no correspondence to say it was going to be late, I never even got an email to say it was delivered like I normally do for every delivery. That all aside it's not my first element from this supplier and they seem to last, just not as long as an original but for this price you cant go wrong.

Good replacement for Hotpoint DD2540BL

from cold oven to hot oven
Again, this was easy to install and took perhaps 30 minutes from beginning to end. For me, the process was as follows: 1) Turn off the oven at the fuse box 2) open the oven door and unscrew the 4 screws holding the fan cover in place 3) unscrew the old fan element and pull it forward to expose the wires 4) move the wires from the old element to the new element 5) put back in the element screws and then the fan cover and screws 6) Turn on at the fuse box and use the oven
