OK, so I bought this product because I have 3 male pit bulls.And one of them likes to attack the other two. I have tried everything to break them up.Including ice water hitting with a stick choking squeezing his balls none of that works. About 3 hours ago, all 3 of them got into a fight. My one dog attacked the older dog and the younger dog attacked to protect him. Well I had my first opportunity to use the shock stick. IT WORKED! However It did not work shocking them in the body. They would not stop so I shocked him in the head near his ear and that did the trick. I also had to shock the other one in his head to make him stop but it worked so that's why it gets four stars. I think the voltage could be a little stronger. Or maybe a setting that allows you to adjust it but other than that. Still 4 stars. I didn't have to kill my dogs and everything's okay.It does not leave any scars.It doesn't do any damage but it sure As heck makes them pay attention.I bought the shorter 1 like 28 inches. It's very sturdy. I don't know why anyone would say it's not so I definitely recommend this product..

The cattle prod quit working the first time we used it during a light rain. It is fully charged and all lights come on showing full charge, but unit will not deliver a shock of any kind anymore. Return window closed 1 week before it quit working and product page does not show any warranty info.

I bought this back in June. I charged it but haven't had to use it yet. I charged it again after 3 months as the charge was down some and tested it and it works. Hopefully it will be a good deterrent for coyotes and loose large dogs that like to attack smaller dogs. It is fairly light weight and does hold a charge for a long time.

Ok, I wanted it for the dog just for protection when you walk your dog. There is no indicator what is the electrical numbers are in use. Sooo, big no, returned.

I like it because now my disobedient dog only has to see the prod and she does what she is told to do

unit works well has a hot sparp. I have used it to load aprox 5 pot loads of hogs and the button switch broke on the last load. I pushed the switch and it just pushed into the body of the prod. Switch just snaps in there but the ring around the top of the switch that keeps it from pushing thru just snapped off. I can fix it with bunch of jb weld or hot glue or might be able to find a replacement switch at a hardware store. Looks line no warrenty or returns on the prod. It did work good while it worked.
