I don't go through my hive with out tool. This frame grip makes it really easy to remove and place frames back in the hive. Only one problem I found with the tool was the gripping prongs get stuck on the top rail of my frames. It seamed that the width was about the same width of the top rail. To fix this problem I had to grind the tips down , grinder wheel of file should do the job
