A can't-put-down series for my 10 -year old son. I haven't read them, though ...

Great book .

I started reading these books with my 5th-grade son in the Summer of 2016 and we both love the entire series. These books helped my child who struggles to read due to his dyslexia develop a love of reading. The vocabulary is high as is the comprehension, but the character development in these books makes each one a page-turner. I found myself looking forward to my son's bedtime so that we could read these books. We can't wait for book 9 to come out.

Some books were very used. My son was disappointed.

My son was introduced to these books by a friend, having already read the other big series like Percy Jackson, The Cherub Series, Henderson Boys, Alex Rider etc. Has loved them and read most of them over the Xmas period - when I got him to read to me I was a little startled by some of the humour/irreverence/chat back dialogue, but on balance probably less offensive than what they hear in the playground. Good fast paced plots.
