Revised review after two years
After two years of owning this soap dish, I'm changing from five stars to two.I stand by most of what I said in the original review, but like others have said, the plastic "feet" are the weak link here. They suck. One of mine broke one day, no apparent reason, and that was the end. The suction cup is still awesome. The rest of the thing is great. No complaints whatsoever. But once even one of the plastic feet dies, the whole thing becomes a wobbly, unstable, crooked, useless POS. Especially after the bar of soap gets a little thin because it will immediately slide right under the side rail of the now-crooked dish and out and down onto the floor, making you angry and frustrated and wondering why people like me wrote such glowing reviews of a such a stupid soap basket.MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:It's way better than anything you'll find at your local store. The suction cup is a "pump up" type device, like what window installers use for handling large sheets of glass. Press it against the shower tile wall, pump on the center button a few times, and it grips like glue. There is also a red stripe indicator that becomes visible only when the suction cup starts to leak a little. So every few weeks, when you see a little bit of the red starting to show, you pump the button a couple of times. It's really as simple as it sounds. The basket is fine. Plenty big for even a very large bar of soap, nicely chromed, sturdy. It's expensive, but this time you get what you pay for.

Kinda pooped out....
This one looks great, and stays right there. Nice design, both visual and function, Little soft plastic "bumpers" serve to hold it level and away from the shower wall - soap stays on drain grid, and there's no scratching of shower wall. The suction pump button is integrated into the design, as is the hidden suction cup. VERY easy to install, and to release, as well, for repositioning. I'm very well pleased with this product.Have to downgrade, after 3 years. suction still functions very well, but chrome has degraded and rust is quickly taking over. One of the soap support tines has totally rusted loose. Every time the holder gets bumped , even very slightly, one or both of the little leveling bumpers go askew and have to be re- adjusted. Gave it the three stars, as it did last two years before the aforementioned issues arose, but for the price I'm not thrilled. Have replaced it with a stainless steel one, with built-in offset leveler.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link
The suction cup worked surprisingly well. It has a button you push to refresh the suction, which I pressed maybe once per week. In the 4 months or so I used it, the suction cup never fell off once. Not even when it broke!Which leads me to the design flaw: It wasn't hit or abused, it just gave out under the weight of the soap bar. The problem is the crappy little piece of plastic that connects the metal soap tray to the suction cup. That one point is under a lot of stress, so eventually it just gives out. If you were to bump it the wrong way, it'd probably break instantly. If they made that part out of metal, I'd have given this 5 stars.

This is a nice soap dish and big enough to hold a large bar of soap, but it eventually fell off the shower wall. It may have been because I did not notice that it changed colors and that was my sign to hit the button to increase the suction. When it fell, the plastic piece holding the soap dish to the suction broke. This is the second type I tried to no avail.

Broke in 2 months
Attractive product and the suction cup really sticks well. However, other than the dish itself, the entire thing is plastic and the part that attaches the dish to the suction cup broke within 2 months of adult only use. I loved it until then. Now I'm back hunting for another soap dish for our shower stall. This time I will see if I can find one that has no plastic parts!

Because the dish is aesthetically perfect for our bathroom
This soap dish is designed badly. The tiny plastic piece intended to hold the dish to the suction piece is too weak for the design and keeps breaking. Because the dish is aesthetically perfect for our bathroom, we purchased one for each side of our double shower. Over the past two years, however, we have purchased at least four. Three of the four have broken from normal use. After purchasing one of the most expensive options available, we are frustrated! We will be looking for a different design.

Wish it worked
I have 2x2 tiles in my sail shower and the suction cup will not adhere to the tile. I ended up using gorilla glue to make it stay – but it is now on permanently which is what I did not want.

Soapdish warning
Nice soap dish but the little plastic clips break and then it won't hang on the wall anymore. If you buy this soapdish just never take it off the wall or be extremely careful with it.
