As a teenager, I loved purchasing all of the Impulse body sprays and taking them to school. It was a low budget perfume and as a teenager it was far easier to purchase a perfumed spray than a perfume itself, which meant I could hoard massive amounts of gorgeous scents without spending a tonne of money.Fast forward twenty years and I figured I would add one of the new Impulse sprays to my basket so I could keep it in my bag for working or going to the gym. Typically I go for unisex or somewhat sexy or masculine scents (I'm female). I adore scents created with notes such as amber, dark woods, oriental flowers, raspberry, sandalwood, patchouli, grapefruit etc. So out of the ones that were listed in Amazon Pantry I figured the Tease scent and Sandalwood scent would be right up my street and at £1 from a local high street store I really couldn't go wrong.• The product •The ‘’Tease’ fragrance was created in 2006 by Ann Gottlieb. The company describe this scent as: -‘’A scent that lives up to its name. It teases, plays and doesn’t the flirting for you. It whispers, "Romance me", just loudly enough to be heard. Spray it anywhere.’’The product has over gone some packaging changes over the years and the 2016 version is certainly an improvement on previous designs. The body fragrance comes in a usable and handy 75ml making this a great addition to your handbag or gym bag or even to keep in the car or bathroom. To use this product you simply twist the cap to the right to move away the plastic panel and so the spray hole is visible and then you press the top as you would with a traditionally packaged body spray. If you have sensitive skin then simply spray over clothing at a good distance so you don't mark your outfit. The spray is gentle and dermatological on the skin, having been tested. The scent is described as being ‘‘a foxy blend of lime and sandalwood''• What I imagined the scent would smell like •Fresh and juicy raspberries notes with a sophisticated but sexy dry down built around the wood notes. I wanted this to be a daytime feminine, romantic and somewhat sexy scent.• What the scent actually smelled Of •Tease is labelled as ‘’red fruits and woods’’ on the actual aerosol can. First sniff this smells powdery, fresh and light. It then combines into a soft but fruity scent that has some depth on dry down.The actual notes in this fragrance are pineapple primarily and woods. Now if it had been marketed in that way I would have sprayed, sniffed and gone ‘ah-ha’ now those notes and the scent make sense. But listing this as ‘red fruits’ completely confuses me. There are no red fruits in this scent.• Final Thoughts •While the scent isn't accurately marketed, this is a scent that I can use. I don’t believe it is ‘romantic’ and I don’t think that younger ladies or girls will enjoy this. However, it’s a great daytime scent for popping in your bag for work, gym or day-to-day life.
