SheafferK Ballpoint Pen Refill, Medium Point, Blue Ink (99325)

Vintage pen brought back to life. I think this pen is from the early 70s, thought I'd take a chance. Refill fit perfectly and writes.

This refill fits my professional Schaffer pen perfectly. I’ll order more when needed.

The media could not be loaded. Was disappointed coz when I opened the package I saw that the refill is damaged.So won’t be able to use it.

Maybe it was slightly damaged in shipment (poorly packed) or perhaps not manufactured quite right. When used in my Sheaffer pen it would bind slightly as its point retracted, very slightly delaying the retraction. This Sheaffer pen has a clip with special features. Depressing the lower edge of the clip exposes the point for writing. When finished, one presses the top edge of the clip and the spring automatically retracts the tip.UPDATE: Amazon sent me a replacement and it works perfectly. I changed this review from 3 stars to 5 stars.

This is kind of strange...I have several different Sheaffer pens that all take this refill. The pen I bought this for (B in pic), doesn't "lock" into place when you turn the pen to expose the tip. I have older refills that I've tested from other Sheaffer pens (A in pic), and the pen in question does "lock" into place, like there's a detent for it to settle in when you have the ballpoint exposed. But for some reason, with this refill, it doesn't do that. There have been times where the ballpoint has worked it's way back up into the pen. Very strange. I put this new refill in another pen that I don't use as much, and am using the older refill for now. The ink is good, and side by side with the older refills, it looks identical. It also allows the older pen (A) to "lock" into place.
