Great replacement for gibson or epiphone les paul style guitars.

The switch action feels good. Not loose or mushy. Snappy without being too hard or too loud. Not soft-touch or silent, if that's what you're looking for. The wires are cloth-covered underneath the shield for that guitar-y vibe, if that's to your taste. Take care when dressing the free ends of the braid so it doesn't short out the controls. There is a pretty good amount of wire to work with, so it may need to be trimmed (or slip some additional insulation tube over them in the control cavity. For an oversized body like a baritone or for something unusually shaped it might be tight, but it looks good for the LP.

I have refurbished half a dozen Gibsons in recent time. Re-wiring the switch from scratch can sometimes be a headache if you solder the wires in angles that make it hard to seat the switch into the small round cutout area designed for the switch. This comes pre-wired and in a way that allows it to slide into that area of the guitar body easily. This saves a lot of time. It also appears to click with a similar satisfactory snap as to the stock Switchcraft ones. Time will tell if it is as bulletproof as those stock ones, but from an immediate use and ease of install standpoint, this is a great replacement part.

Sooner or later, the pickup selector switch on your Epiphone (or similar) Les Paul will need replacement, and this pre-wired switch will make that job easier. It's the same switch that's included in Musiclily's LP wiring harnesses, and features shielded push-back wire of ample length. Each wire is labelled, eliminating guesswork, and switch tips in three common colors are included.I am currently in the process of installing this switch in my Epi LP Custom. The stock switch tended to slip to the middle position when the neck or bridge pickup is selected, but the Musiclily switch maintains its position far better, which makes me happy. I have seen similar switches for about ten bucks, but they are not pre-wired, and it makes sense to spend the little extra to have the wiring done for you. This is another quality guitar accessory from Musiclily, and I recommend it.

I have several imported Les Paul-style guitars, and the pickup switch seems to be one of the weakest links. I've seen a brand new guitar in a just-opened box with the switch shaft broken off, but of course the more common issue is intermittent contact or complete failure to make contact in one or more positions. I've had good luck with Musiclily products in the past so I tried this switch.The switch itself looks and feels good but the wiring is what surprised me: all three wires are shielded and labeled. They also thoughtfully included three switch tips: black, white, and cream. I'm very happy with this product.

I’ve gotten a few items from Musiclily and they always make quality music products. I really like the materials they used for this pickup toggle switch, especially the braided wire. I have a Les Paul style electric guitar that I built from a kit that could use an upgrade to the toggle switch, so this Musiclily one is going in. Great that they included the bonus knobs so you have all 3 colors (black /white / cream), plus they even included a promotional guitar pick. Fantastic switch to have on hand when working on electric guitars.

Another great product from Musiclily! I installed this on a 1990 Epiphone Les Paul. I never knew a switch could make such a difference! Very well made and simple to install. I never noticed it before, but on this guitar, the switch was connected to the tone pots and not the volume as is usually the case. I wired it as it came from the factory and sounds amazing.

Very good quality vintage style 3 way toggle. I had some bad quality ones to test it against so I can confirm this is a good one. It came with a black and cream switch tip but no matching poker chips. This is 100% an upgrade to what comes stock in most budget guitars under $400. For the price you can't do much better.
