Crimen Ferpecto is a dark comedy filmed in a large department store in Spain!
Watched this DVD many times and learned more and more about the plot and never tire of seeing it again and again, you too will enjoy it and note the title is Crimen Ferpecto (Perfect Crime) which Perfecto was deliberately not spelled correctly and understand why this film did that. The star of the movie seems to be the man who is competing with another male employee to be the floor manager, but the saleswomen who is homely and un-noticed at first becomes the star herself and you will understand half way through the film much to your delight, you will laugh aloud, guarateed! The film is black humour and has unexpected twists and turns. Buy a copy and enjoy to be entertained!

Best spanish movie to this date.....it's a must see...
The movie per se is entertaining and original and fun to watch. It is almost never dull, it is always keeping you on the edge of your seat to see what will happen next and all is done precisely and cleverly. This is a great film to see in class or with your friends or girl-friend, it's all good n fun -black humour- that adds the right stuff to this perfect production. On that note:The majority of the Spanish-girls (of Spain) in this film are flawless and erotic, be warn, the first 30mins of this film entices you with beauty, greed and sex. Afterwards, it gets more philosophical, sadistic and pensive. Moreover the film tends to be a monologue of Rafael's triumphs, misfortunes and schemes. On the plus side, this film will make you want to go to Spain....hehehAnyhow,10/10 = A+

Absolutely hysterical
I cannot recommend it enough to those who like something refreshingly different in comedy which turns dark and takes all kinds of twists and turns throughout. Don Antonio's ghoulish ghost who accompanies Rafael in the second part of the movie is absolutely hysterical. Even smaller parts like the table scene when Rafael goes to Lourdes' home for dinner is a must see with neurotic mom, dad who just can't anymore and sleeps sitting up to escape the family dysfunction, and the little sister who will declare anything for shock value to make mamma pass out in front of their guest. Every little part of the film has something incredibly funny. You will laugh 'til you howl.

Hilarious!
I love the Spanish sense of humor (as in from Spain). There is also another great movie from this director: El Dia De La Bestia (The Day Of The Beast) [NTSC/REGION 1 & 4 DVD. Import-Latin America ]. I also liked Common Wealth . 800 Bullets was not that great, but you can't ace them all.

Truly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen
I'm so happy this DVD is available in region 1 format. I knew if I waited long enough, it would become available. I saw this movie at the Phila Film Festival the year it came out, and I was totally blown away. I am not an "out loud" laugher, but I was rolling in the aisles, laughing my head off. I highly recommend this sick, hilarious movie. Puts most American comedies to shame.

iMuy Bueno!
This was a hoot! I laughed like a drain. From the opening scenes in "Salesperson training" to the last scene, it's a ripping yarn but with Spanish influence. The first thing I liked was the narration to camera by Rafa. He's a confident, go-getting casanova who has his eyes set firmly on THE promotion of his life - floor manager. You identify with him and his talent, his insights on other people, and while there are elements of chauvinism, you believe him to be a success in life. Until you find out he oversees the Ladies Department in the Yeyo's department store. Then he hits ground level with a bang.A bitter feud exists between Rafa and Don Antonio, the head of Menswear, and they are both to be considered for the coveted position. But the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Faced with an impossible situation, Rafa embarks on a course of action that will surely allow him to walk away from all responsibility. But little known to Rafa, Lourdes has been watching him. She knows his secret and she is using her feminine guile to turn the tables.Look out for the suspenseful music when Rafa tries to give the cops the slip. An excellent example of diegesis. It's a laugh a minute roaring tale of a man being beaten at his own game.Lots of sight gags and one liners, Guillermo Toledo and Mónica Cervera are perfectly matched in this cat and mouse comedy.Only four stars? I saw the subtitled version (not dubbed) and it was tricky to keep track of the sight gags and the subtitles simultaneously.

Very Good Black Comedy
This film follows the changing fortunes of one Rafael, a cocky and arrogant salesman who is loved by all his female colleagues and can't get enough of them. But when he loses what he thinks is a guaranteed promotion to another guy, his ego takes such a bashing that he just has to tease and dig at his conqueror. When this turns into a fight Rafael's opponent ends up dead, and so begins a fast-paced and hilarious tale of blackmail and gender-conflict as the one person who knows about Rafael's crime is the one and only woman at work that he is yet to seduce..."The Ferpect Crime" is a delightful black comedy and will keep you laughing to the end; the acting is spot on and believable despite the unlikeliness of the plot. The chemistry between Rafael and his nemesis 'Lourdes' works brilliantly well and holds the film together as it heads towards its unpredictable and satisfying conclusion. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles available, so if you are not into the whole 'world cinema' thing then this might not be for you, but give it a try and you'll find a joy in watching it that allows you to watch it over and over again. As a guide, I'd say that watching this film gives a feel-good factor on the same page as "A Fish Called Wanda" and "Johnny English". Great fun all round.

Well. (Spoilers within)
How on Earth do I try and describe this movie? To begin with, it's probably the most bizarre film I've seen so far this year. A pretty major criticism I have about it is that the whole premise for the female lead's blackmailing is that the lead male has killed his boss. However, she has no proof that it was him, yet he continues to give in to this woman, even planning a marriage with her.Putting such a glaringly obvious mistake aside, this movie is a fun movie. Yes, it's all in Spanish, and reading subtitles does slightly detract from the humour of it all, but one bizarre thing after another keeps happening and you really do want to keep watching just to see what weird road the narrative is going to go down next.I didn't recognise any of the actors/actresses, but they all seem to carry their roles pretty well, and all of them seemed to assume the identities of their characters almost seamlessly. In all honesty, this isn't the best film ever made. Far from it. What it is, though, is just funny. Not the side-splitting laugh-a-minute kind of funny, but the 'oh God what more could happen to this poor man' kind of funny. It's definitely a different sort of film to add to your collection, and a good laugh or two along the way. Be warned though, it does have ever so slight nudity and scenes 'of a sexual nature' as they say.
