Excellent work book to supplement yoga practice even for non Iyengar students
Clear and concise explanations and guidance, easy to read and follow. Nothing heavy. Text is accompanied with great photos demonstrating correct hold of postures from various angles in details. Level of experince necessary to perform each asana is indicated. Use of props are also shown which is beneficial especially for beginners. The book is well structured with attention to details such as correct pronunciation of Sanskrit words and recommendations for therapeutic use of some postures. I find cross references to be logical and very helpful. I also like suggested practising programmes at the end of the book. It has become my favourite yoga manual.

A Complete Guide
I started Iyengar Yoga about three years ago at the age of 60. Although I was quite fit, I sensed the onset of the effects of old age and wanted to do something about this before it was too late. With only an hour and a half of tuition every week I am astonished at my new found flexibility, balance and general wellbeing. I have found yoga both enjoyable and challenging. I was looking for a book from which I could supplement my classes by practice at home and that would help me to understand how yoga "works". This book delivers all this and more in spades. I have no hesitation in recommending it to all.

A great addition to our yoga practices...
We do various yoga asanas on a daily basis but over time it's easy to slip into bad practices, Iyengar yoga is precise and demanding. Following the step by step instructions, the book details' at least gives us some chance of getting it right...

Good purchase
Book received promptly and in excellent condition. The company even e-mailed me to inform me they had managed to send this by an earlier post than indicated? The book is A4 size and therefore allows for good photos of yoga positions, and every position is clearly explained. I am very happy with this purchase and with the seller.

EXCELLENT
A few asanas with use of props are showed in this book. Also an addition to BKS IYENGAR'S Light On Yoga with his more popular asanas described in this book. As the title says: the Iyengar way

Good primer to compliment yoga lessons
The basic problem with this book is that you can’t easily learn yoga from a book. The images are good though and the explanations simple. If you think you need a primer to compliment your lessons, this is the book to have.
