Best Beginner Internet Radio
This is an absolutely awesome little radio to get into the internet side of portable radio very affordable at $60, the FM on it isnt the best since it doesnât come with a telescopic antenna and being able to put a sim card from a mobile carrier in it (i had a spare one i got from switching to t mobile since we only have 2 phones but we get the 3rd line free) and i have signal anywhere also i would recommend getta TF card with the purchase so you can do the firmware update. I would love to get the bigger version the LC90 or mini but its just out of my price range. Yea you can get streaming apps on your phone but to me having a separate device to listen to stations over the internet is really good cause keeps me from running my phone battery down and not have to wear the battery out on it having to charge more than i do already if anyone wants to just dip into the internet radio without spending a bunch of money and feel like through their money out of the window i recommend trying this radio.

Good sounding small FM/internet radio but not perfect
The Choyong A8W FM/internet radio arrived in a nice package, the radio is about size of Samsung Galaxy cell phone but twice of thickness. Nice clean design with pleasant dark green/blue color, fit and finish is very nice. Comes with a small piece folded instruction which need 20/20 vision to read. and USB-C charging cable and USB-C headphone to 3.5 mm adaptor. No charger included. The reason for me to purchase this internet radio is listening to the international radio stations, and also portable, this radio fits the bill.Good:1. Very good sound quality. It is very important to me that a radio must have a good sound quality. You can not enjoy a radio with bad sound quality regardless how many features it has.2. Connect to wi-fi pretty easy, you have to use upper dial knob to choose the letters and numbers to type in the password.3. FM radio works well. There is no telescope antenna. If you are in big city with strong station signals, you will be OK.4. The internet radio stations is categorized by the regions. Also you can use voice search with English. Not working with Chinese.5. Lots of internet radio stations were built in the radio. much easier than Shortwave radio for sure. Not so good:1. The radio shows FM frequency not matching US standard: for example, the FM90.3 will be picked up at 90.2, even the sound quality is good. The radio will scan the radio stations and saved them for you, you can not tune the frequency with the dial, at least I did not figure it out yet.2. I have saved some stations as favorites station with the "Heart button", but can not find them later.Wish:I wish there is an online video demo to show how to use the radio. In the engineers' mind the design is very good, it is important to show those good designs to the users, that is why iPod and iPhone are so successful.Final thoughts: Just have the radio for two days and amazon wants my review so bad so I just write some my initial impressions here. I will continue monitor the battery, and continue to figure it out more.if you do not mind to spend $50 for a small FM/internet radio, it is not a bad choice.

Total disappointment, not recommended
I have a Choyong LC90, which through firmware updates and improvements works very well while using the Internet radio. Voice search is nearly flawless in that product. With that previous experience, I expected the same with the A8W. Not even close. It's nearly impossible to search out stations. Voice search is terrible. FM reception is awful, there's no antenna. No headphone jack. No way to manually search without endless scrolling through stations.I hate this radio. Returning.I bought an Ocean Digital WR23F to replace it.Same price. I'm actually enjoying the Ocean Digital.

To many cons, few pros
I did like the size and portability. Sound was "ok" for size. I played with it and almost kept, but,,,,,. All of a sudden it made me purchase more "memory>" Not going to happen. To bad, would have kept.
