If you are like me and you are looking for the real, classic, old school scent of sandalwood before it got all perfume like and sweet smelling, then this is the soap for you! This takes me back to the late 90's, early 00's of my youth, back when natural and homeopathic stores just started taking off. This soap reminds me of the pure sandalwood handmade soaps I used to buy in those expensive little shops back in the day. This was the scent I came to know and love as sandalwood, and I have been on an endless search for decades in an attempt to recapture and relive that original, classic sandalwood scent that reminds me of the hand rolled sandalwood incense from India I used to buy. At last I have found it. It is not too smoky, spicy or sweet, but just that right blend with a bit of an almost creaminess to it. The scent is beautiful and lasting but not too much as to be overpowering. As an autistic person with severe sensory issues, this is very critical to me. Not only is the scent divine, but the soap itself leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean but still soft at the same time, and the scent is lasting, but not overpowering. I will say that it is very slippery on the bottom of the shower for some odd reason, so get yourself some of those non slip rubber things if you don't already have some, or step with caution. The bars themselves are some of the longest lasting I have found in years! One of these babies has outlasted about four or five of those giant, fad men's bars that everyone seems to be obsessed with these days. I bought the 4 pack like three months ago and I use one every night in the shower and one in a soap dish by the sink to wash my hands with and I've only just replaced the bar in the shower, the one by the sink will probably last for weeks. I've already gone through two dials, three ivory's and five dove bars but the bee's is outliving them all put together! All the thumbs up and highly recommend! I WILL be buying again if and when they ever wear out.

I've been using Bee & Flower sandalwood soap for many years. It still is a nicely fragrant and hard milled soap which lasts quite well. This order was a bit slo, maybe due to another product ordered at the same time; a book which might not have been available at the ordering time. However it did arrive in tact even though the packing was just a sheet of butcher paper. The price has been going up over time like everythng else. When I first starte bying it, years ago, at the local supermarket in Los Angeles, it was 39 cents for a bar. Now I'm buying it in a pack of 4 for around $12. Still a great soap.

It's good soap. A little too much of a perfume scent for me; more like sandal with rose and lavender. The flowery perfume somewhat overpowers the sandal fragrance. Decided to try it. I'm not unhappy with the purchase.However, it's not like sandal soaps from elsewhere, including Mysore sandal soap, triple milled french soaps with sandal, or something one might find from other western asian, european, or mediterranean soap makers. It is a very good quality soap product, just too much other perfume rose scent combined with sandal for me.It lathers moderately well. It rinses easily. It has a little bit of an oily finish but it also moisturizes. It probably won't dry most people's skin.Four stars, for good quality scented moisturizing milled soap that lasts. It's worth trying. You may like it, a lot of people do.The packaging is excellent, and thoughtfully done.

My family used to buy Bee&Flower soaps at the import grocery when I was a kid. The sandalwood is my favorite smell. I’ve got pretty sensitive skin, and these have always been kinder to it than the average soap bar, which is amazing considering the affordable price. I was delighted to find a set of four in a gift box. What I received was the genuine article, as I remember it.

This soap burned my skin immediately upon contact. Felt like fire water... I am NOT exaggerating. I had a red rash on my arm where i used it in the shower. This should not allowed to be sold. I have been using this soap for decades and it used to be wonderful. The smell is very strong and smells like chemicals once it is used.Out of the package it smells like a strong fragrance but once wet, it smells awful and felt like razors on my skin!. I had a gift card and bought myself one of my favorite soaps. Clearly they have changed the formula and this is not safe for skin at all. I can only imagine what the people who have to make it are experiencing. I didn't think to read reviews on the Bee and Flower soap I have used for years, but clearly I am not the only person who has experienced this. The BIG company should not be selling products from china if they are hazardous to our health.

This soap has been my favorite since I was 14 Or 16. I am 51 now and I had to live without it in Vegas cause I could never find it. I am so glad Amazon is carrying it. It is the best smelling and best lingering sandalwood soap on the market that I have found. It also makes your skin soft. I love this soap

As a child, I once got this soap as a gift from a far away friend. I remember thinking it was so exotic! I’d forgotten how it smelled so decided to buy some. The wrapper and the new bar are attractive. Once the bar wears down a bit, it turns ugly as most soaps do. The fragrance is not good enough to make this a repeat buy for me, but I will go ahead and use what I bought. It’s been made for 100 years so someone out there must love it!
