Quality item but features I don't like
First of all I felt it was over thick even when empty. However the feature I particularly disliked was the Velcro closure. Both parts are IMHO unnecessarily large causing noise and resistance when opening. Tactical (whatever that means) maybe, silent not. The overuse of Velcro has another result. There are two internal ID windows (and one external ID window). Both the internal ID windows are partially obscured by the Velcro. One by about 50% the other by about 60%. A mystery what the designer was thinking. The card slots all face the fold so when closed and in a pocket there is really little need for such a strong Velcro closure. A dot or two would have sufficed.I'm returning this and will consider an alternative. Going to try the Pentagon Stater 2.0

feels solid
Could have better solution for coins, card slots are a bit shallow, otherwise quality product.

With modifications, a nice wallet
In the default configuration, this wallet is very thick - much thicker than I was looking for. I was ready to toss it out when I decided that I might as well try to see what I could do to lessen that thickness. The zippered coin pouch of this is something I've wanted in a wallet, but finding one with such a feature that also fits my other requirements has been challenging.I ended up cutting a few aspects of this wallet out. The lanyard, bill pouch divider, and elastic 'sd card' holders were all removed by simply cutting the threads out, as each of these added considerable thickness and were non-essential for me. After making these changes, the wallet is dramatically slimmer and much more aligned with what I wanted from it.If you don't mind making those kinds of tweaks (each is very easy to accomplish), this has great potential. As it comes delivered, though, it's simply too much bulk.

Now that I have this wallet, I can do some tactical spending...
I've had an old leather wallet for 7-8 years. I didn't need a new wallet, but wanted one. I thought going to a textile wallet may be the way to go, so I'm giving this a try. I'm not a "tactical" person or "gun guy" (even though I own guns), but "tactical" stuff seems to just be made VERY well. I have a cool "tactical" belt I use everyday and doesn't go off with metal detectors, and I have a bunch of bike stuff made of cordura. I just like this stuff.I made a joke that now that I have this wallet, I can do some "tactical" spending - because I'm not sure how the word tactical applies to a wallet... anyway...First impressions is this wallet is made well. I am not having the issues with card fitment that others are talking about. I feel a little juvenile that I have a 2 second sound of velcro ripping away when I need to get something out of my wallet, but that just may be me. BTW, how tactical is making a bunch of velcro noise? I would argue that would blow your cover. I carry nine cards and a small stack of business cards with me, and it's fine in terms of not being incredibly fat. I like that fact that it does have a loop in case you want to add a carabiner so you don't lose it - and even though I make fun of the velcro, it's great, because if it does fall out of your pocket, a bunch of stuff won't fall out - I had that issue with my old traditional leather wallet. Oh yes, I keep two handwritten notes with me from my step-son and my wife - still, not too fat as to complain about it. There is a little zip pocket where I keep a spare house key - that is awesome. So yeah - I guess this thing does hold a lot - and still... not so fat I can complain.I agree that the SD card slots are unnecessary, especially when you have the cloud/smart phones to store things on now. It did slip out of my back pocket once, but that may be more an issue with the jeans I was wearing (DansComp BMX jeans).I personally like functional stuff - and this is a functional wallet. It carries everything I need, and seems well built. I am curious to see if it holds up for 7-8-9 years like my old Swiss leather wallet did, tho.

... a new wallet for years and this one looked like it would fit the bill
I've needed a new wallet for years and this one looked like it would fit the bill.I like:* 8 card slots that hold credit card-sized items tightly.* 3 slots for things like a key.* 2 slots for bills (even though I don't keep money in my wallet).* 3 hidden compartments.* I expect this will last for decades.* The velcrose closures is strong.* I like the zippered compartment in the back inside middle, but wish it was a velcrose closure that made it not so obvious. What I don't like:* You can easily get two credit cards in each credit card slot, but getting them out is a bit of a pain.* The wallet is thicker than my old one, even when I've taken out a couple of things.* There are two places on the outside that could be picture ID slots, but I'd never keep a picture ID on the outside of my wallet. I'd prefer those were hidden compartments.* One outside slot has a velcrose closure that I like, but it won't hide anything since it's see-through.* The one picture ID slot on the inside is not large enough for my ID to be seen without removing it. That may prove to be too much of a pain over time.Overall:This is a good wallet that will hold up well, but probably not suited for someone who carries a lot of cards. I have 2 businesses that I need 2 cards each for, and 2 personal cards, a card to get in building, and then some things I carry for volunteer work. Add DL, insurance cards, and a couple of things for volunteer work, and this this not that practical for my every day use. But when I don't need all of that with me, I will really like it.
