Bought to replace my old 'blue ring' WD storage device which hasn't missed a beat in years of faithful service, the plus is it is easy to set up and manageable through web gui and time machine works a treat since last firmware update, the minuses are that there is no usb port on the back so you cannot extend also the disk is not as fast as I had hoped for with gigabit ethernet speeed is still in the low megabits.****Latest my drive failed, it shows a permanant red light, it's the first drive in a long time to fail so law of averages says that it was my turn to be unlucky, WD have sent replacement as soon as I raised and RMA will update again later.*****Update 3 Years later and still going strong, smart reports all well with the disk, my only comment is that it can get hot when used for a long period
