An invaluable and essential resource.
This amazing book was recommended to me by a friend who was aware of my enthusiasm for trilobites. It gives a comprehensive breakdown of trilobite species known at the time of publication, by period and region and is heavily illustrated by Sinclair Stammers exquisite photographs.Since purchasing this volume I have had the good fortune to have met the author, Pete Lawrence, personally and to have been introduced to his simply incredible collection (many of which feature in this volume). The passion that Pete expresses in his book is the same passion he has for his subject. In my honest opinion Trilobites of the World is an essential guide to this fascinating subject and is worth every penny!

Stratigraphic ranges?
Not so much a review, rather a question: Is there any information on the stratigraphic ranges of the individual species? If so, to what resolution - period, stage, biozone? Many thanks!

A truly wonderfuly presented book.
Pete Lawrance is a guy who knows what he's talking about. His personal collection is here for you to enjoyFor many years I have searched for a book like this, I'm sure experts and casual fossil collectors alike who share a love for these wonderfully diverse creatures will absolutely enjoy this book.Wonderfully photographed and laid out into countries of origin but don't exspect a massively in depth tale, I can't put it down.

some of the specimens shown are far from the best -- the Drotops armatus looks like somebody broke off ...
This is a picture book of trilobites. And as the title says, they come from all parts of the world. This is not a scientific treatise, the focus is on the pictures, which come with just basic information -- the species, the age, the formation, and the location, and a few notes. To be sure, some of the specimens shown are far from the best -- the Drotops armatus looks like somebody broke off all the spines, and I have a much prettier Cryptolithus tesselatus in my own collection. But for a broad view of the enormous variety of trilobites out there there this book is hard to beat.

Trilobites of the world: An Atlas of 1000.
A excellent book showing many fossil Trilobites from all over the world. They cover the most common Trilobites to be found as there are tens of thousands of known species of Trilobite & if one book tried to present all of them, you would need muscles like Arnold to lift if.All the illustrations are in full color & each specimen has a brief description. Some specimens have several illustrations.
