Brilliant. Was going to cost me a fortune to convert my vhs video's to DVD and all the cofufal that would have entailed, within minutes of receiving this connector video's were up and running. And the cost was literally pennies. Great buy. And I'm a 78 year old, not a teccy

Purchased a new 65" smart tv some time ago but it didn't have a scart socket. The dvd was dumped in a cupboard and left to rot. However I missed the old DVD collection, so the hunt for a solution started. Looked for a dvd with hdmi the cables to try and connect our old dvd. The devil you know. Bought a few cables and now worked. Finally found this one. So it has a scart plug ne end and three AV push ins at other. There is a direction switch on scart end in or out. Fitted scart to dvd player set slider to out and plugged the three colour coded plugs to the tv AV input. Switched all on and selected AV on tv remote. DVD on with player remote and yes success. Picture is great and Foyles war has never looks so good. Great wee cable to connect the old scart devices to the new standards. Enjoy

Bought to connect old dvd player to smart tv and it does the job but unfortunately i end up with a picture that does not fit the 32inch tv, i get a smaller picture and try as i might to resize it, it just will not do it so i thought i will get phono leads at 1.5 metre as previous ones i had were not long enough....same problem they connect just fine but i still get a picture that dosen't fit the screen so all in i seem to have wasted my money. Thinking if i want to solve this i have to buy a new DVD player....dont you just love incompatable technology ?If anyone knows how to solve this i am open to suggestions, maybe theres a secret button i can't find or the connection is filled with hair that i have pulled out just before my brain exploded!Frustrated moi !

Very good. Our old DVD player is now connected to our Logic smart television and the grandchildren can watch dvds from dawn till dusk.

Item is great and working very well! Superb alternative to using an adapter block and triple-cable setup which was getting quite old and dusty. Used it with a new LG tv that I bought, hooked it up to the old Sky digibox (without Scart sockets) and works a treat!Nice and simple setup what more do you need. It's perfect for still accessing older tech on newer devices. Great seller, quick dispatch!The SCART end has a switch making it useful to send video on either direction e.g. Sky box <> TV. Picture quality isn't going to be amazing (576p) but it gets the job done!

Solved connecting my old DVD to New LED TV. After getting a new TV the new TV didn't have anyway to connect the old DVD player as there was no scart or mini scart adapter connection. The TV is connected to the AV unit via HDMI to surround sound speakers. Sound when playing the DVD comes from the surround sound speakers which is a bonus i was expecting it to come from the TV speakers only. Quality of picture is ok but i wasn't expecting anything better, its only really for playing my old dvd collection which I rarely look at anymore.
