I have wanted one for years but was worried about sizing, a couple of people said it was fine and gave me confidence to proceed, it is very warm which was a bit of a surprise as I wore it when it was cold and windy but started sweating so I am sure during winter it will keep me adequately warm during a fishing trip

'Size 58' refers to the circumference. I should have checked this before buying, as it is very tight for me.I did consider trying to widen the cap, but due to its construction that would be tricky, so I left it. As the headband is leather there has been very little stretch. However, I'm glad I've got it. It's tough, very well made and has a certain style which is not evident from the illustration - think Grand Amiral Mof Tarkin (whatever ... played by Peter Cushing) in Star Wars.Whether the Hammer and Sickle badge is a plus or not is up to you. For me, it certainly is. It's a fine reminder of the Red Army fighting Islamofascism (at a time, of course, when this was supported and funded by the Brit and American states).
