Small but mighty hardware
Loving my Terramaster F4-424 Pro.The hardware is well designed to optimize space and keep the housing as small as possible while providing mighty processing power to handle anything thrown at it, running docker, vms & transcoding all at the same time.Setup was a breeze and had the NAS up and running in no time at all

TerraNas software needs more work before considering
Haven't had any issues with the hardware itself.I've been having constant issues with the software. It seems half-baked, with half of the functionality and compatibility of the other NAS providers (Synology, QNAP, etc.). The "App Store" is a complete joke. The main issue I've been having is with the security and firewall. I enabled the firewall weeks ago, and suddenly, it's blocking *all* traffic other than from a single port for SSH access. I've set up this NAS to use as a Plex server and also a file backup server. All of those things just randomly failed. I had to SSH into the NAS and manually open up ports 1 by 1 to get functionality to return. The "Firewall App" within the settings is a joke. It says those ports are open, but a quick check on the back end tells otherwise. Now, all of a sudden, Plex no longer has access to the media files it has always had access to. I changed nothing, and now Plex is just blank. It's not an issue with Plex, it's the NAS software for some reason ripping away the permissions for my media files. I'm still able to access the files through SMB with the admin account. I'm sick of constantly troubleshooting their shitty software for them. It's too late for me to return, but I'm going back to Synology.

Bad solution for NAS storage
Expensive and both only lasted about a year with very little use, easily two of my worst purchase ever, never again. Definitely do not buy!
