Works and looks great

Bought this to wind a quite heavy Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea. It was totally silent for about the first two months. In fact I wasn't sure it was even working because I never heard it and never saw it winding except for when I first plugged it in. But the watch didn't need winding so I knew it was working. It sits on a bench next to my computer desktop and now is just barely audible over the fairly quiet computer fan. Sounds almost like crickets chirping in the distance, hardly noticeable. I don't know if it will get louder but it is fine for now. I did have to add some extra padding under the watch to keep it from flopping around while turning. There was a spacer disc included for that purpose but it was not nearly thick enough. I ended up folding a paper towel several times until I had the necessary thickness to keep the watch tight.

This is a very nice product for the money. It looks very nice, I found it to be very quiet, unlike some other reviewers. There's no doubt I would have kept it except for one issue I had.I'm a large guy with a large wrist. The pillow that comes with this was just too small for my watch. It would flop back and forth as it rotated. And I did try to tuck as much of band behind the pillow as I could, but it would always work itself out within a few revolutions. I was able to solve this by using a rubber band around the pillow, but I knew I'd be dissatisfied in the long run and returned it.This would be an excellent choice for someone with no more than a 9" wrist, or has a watch band that could be made smaller when closed, like a leather band. Because I wanted the box to match my cherry bedroom furniture, I ended up going with one that cost over three times as much. Needless to say, I wish this one had worked.

Great product

My original review is at the bottom. After a few months of making adjustments as to how fast it should spin and to which direction I finally got this thing to keep my watch wound up. I have 2 different watches and the setting needs to be for both directions (clockwise and counter) and the speed at max. So it’s working now and I thought leaving a bad review up wasn’t cool... I did have it replace though because the wiring in back had a short.It just doesn’t work. It’s a nice looking case though. It will turn for a few minutes if I adjust some settings in the back and then stop. It’s never really worked for me. I already had it replaced once. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this is just a bad product.

The cherrywood color is fantastic, and the ability to set different winder speeds as well as choosing direction (clockwise, counter, or alternating) really gives me everything I needed from a winder. I wasn't looking for a collector's piece, or one that cost would cost me a significant fraction of my watch's cost (an RGM160M), and this fit the bill. Unlike some reviews, I have not has any issue with noise after two weeks. You can hear soft gear movement if the bedroom is completely quiet and I stand close to it, but in essence it is silent. I also have it set on the 950 rotational setting so I'm rarely in the room as the same time as it operates intermittently throughout the day.

This product is better than expected. Looks beautiful, quite and easy to use. Been using is for a month and very please with my purchase.
