Good…..but not “total blackout”
I purchased the white curtains with the black lining. They work much better than other light-blocking curtains I’ve purchase in the past…..even though they are not total blackouts. They are a nice quality (heavy) material. In fact, I’m going to have to purchase a center support bracket for my curtain rods. NOTE: Due to the black lining, the white curtains appear almost pale gray when you get them on the windows. I washed the curtains on the gentle cycle, then put them in the dryer on the wrinkle release setting. I removed and then hung them while still damp. The deep wrinkles from being packaged did not come out. They will have to be ironed, or steamed. I rated them 4 stars because they are good at blocking light, and made of sturdy, high quality material that I think should last for a long time.

Pretty darn happy with these!
Ordered these for my apartment in Mexico. I wanted semi blackout, something that would block the heat and sun but would still allow some light in and these are perfect. Good value, excellent quality for the price and fast shipping.

Love love love
I LOVE these. They are durable and must importantly WASHABLE. You will definitely need to give them a good press when you unbox them. I have added them to 2 of my homes.

The search for blackout curtains is over!
I live in a century home with lots of tall windows in every room which is, quite literally, painful for a migraineur in the sun drenched South. I close my curtains from June 1 to October 1 every year to save money on AC and to be able to live comfortably inside my home. I have had bought several blackout curtains in the past and they either were NOT blackout, or they had a stiff, plastic back and cracked and crumbled after a few years leaving light spots that would beam through. These "White" (with black backing) are truly blackout. Absolutely no doubt about it. The fabric is soft and satiny. To be honest, I do not like how the curtains look - they are too shiny for my taste and the white with black backing are silvery grey. But, I was always going to put them behind my current grommet curtains - I bought these over 108" curtain liners because they cost the same, or less, and had better reviews. So, to sum up:Blackout? ABSOLUTELY!Beautiful curtains? Meh, but I didn't care.I will buy more white with white backing because, unlike my bedroom that I want/need to be very dark, other parts of the house I'd like a hint of light to fade through. And, truthfully, even the true white might be too dark! Lol

Not sheer at all, great blackout!
Great blackout without loosing the design aspect, I love white curtains and was always difficult finding great quality without breaking the bank. This was an awesome purchase

one panel has issues with the lining
Beautiful curtains! I replaced all my old bedroom curtains with these. One panel has an area on the lining where the threads are separating like a worn-out sheet. Unfortunately, the return window closed before I was ready to hang this pair, so I'm stuck with it. It is close to the edge and doesn't show, but I hope it holds up with washing. I purchased the white; they do a reasonably good job of blocking the light, but if you are a day sleeper you might get a darker color.
