Very lovely sumac
I've wanted to buy some sumac for so long. I've previously tasted it when eating traditional food in Turkey and so I knew that this flavour could really uplift food.This really hasn't disappointed me. I've been doing a lot of Mediterranean style foods with salads, pittas and flat breads, falafel, kofta, hummus. This sprinkle adds a subtle but delicious flavour, and although my limited experience can't tell you if this is a top grade sumac, it certainly has plenty of flavour and is a glorious deep and dark red. As described in the jar, the flavour is "sharp and tangy". A little also goes a long way so although it's only a small jar, it should last a little while. I love it.

Mouth watering just writing the review!
Delicious sumac, it does seem to have a moistness which I haven’t encountered in sumac before, same as a few other reviewers have mentioned. Well not so much moist as less powdery. Anyway it’s lovely and fresh tasting, tangy the and lemony and worth the price to compare with your usual, more dry sumac. Think I’ll be getting more!

Can't tell if it's meant to be like this, but this somac seems fresh - so fresh it's slightly moist. I grew up with cheap imported somac... this has tasted quite a lot better... more flavoursome with some subtle overtones I'd not tasted since my childhood - when presumaly my sense of taste was better! Quite expensive for a small jar though. This leads me to believe that it is indeed a premium product.

A lovely tangy and lightly spicy flavour. Use in all manner of dishes. And great value.

Different
Recieved 2 of these. Didnt know what to expect really, as only got it for a recipe I was doing. Found it sweet, not too thick, ( why is there a star option for thickness), but it does give the food a different taste, which is fine by me, as not unpleasant. Bought a while ago and still have only opened one jar. Hopefully it will stand the test of time.
