Erratic WiFi
Bought this dongle when my old Jio device that looked just like this died. Purchased a new Airtel SIM card to go with this. Been having problems with it from day one.1. Takes time to start up and then establish a steady cellular and WiFi signal. Sometimes requires several restarts and or battery removal before it attains a steady state.2. WiFi randomly disconnects. You might be in the middle of work and suddenly your WiFi signal is lost. Reconnecting might take time, sometime requiring device restarts.3. Overall, certainly not worth the money spent on it. It's not even useful as a paperweight. A cheap and substandard chinese device with Amazon Basics branding.

Overpriced compare to its features
Observations after 15 days with Jio simPros:- Good signal strength (around 15 meter)- Support any sim- Up to 3 to 3.5 hours of battery backup- Configuration steps given in manualCons:- Cable length is too short- Cable quality is too poor and if I use wired connectivity with this device then internet disconnects automatically after a period of time (20-30 mins). I have to eject and reinsert cable in USB port. This is the biggest drawback. This issue is not observed for wifi connection.- In user manual it is mentioned to not to place this device near any other wireless device- Its price is much higher than its features and cable quality.I was looking for battery based wireless portable device so I had to make this decision.

Reliable and value for money dongle
Works with Jio and Airtel. If you have a defective OEM dongle, this can be a good replacement as it connects easily, offers stable network connectivity with good battery backup and a dedicated LED light to indicate when to charge the device and when to keep off charge- a good feature to maintain battery health.
