Effective
This thing is very quiet for this size and capability to dehumidify my whole 1500 sq ft basement. It’s fairly easy to use as all you need to do is plug it in and just in a few hours, your place doesn’t feel as humid. Glad I got this for my basement. worth the price for this commercial unit.

Great Unit
I have the unit with the pump and it is working great. It comes with tubing for the pump as well as tubing if you want to use the gravity drain. The humidistat is is off by about 10 percent positive. If the unit shows 50%RH it is actually 45%RH based on a calibrated meter I have. I use this in my encapsulated crawlspace and it's set for 49%RH and the unit keeps it there with only a 1-2 percent swing during the units off/on cycle. The unit is compact and my crawl is 1600sq.ft but I am not sure it would be up to keeping 2300sq.ft dry but it is working fine in my crawl for now.I am coming from a garbage dehumidifier (Sani Dry Sedona) that lasts only 6 months before it quits working. The Sedona is out of warranty so I needed to buy a new unit. The Alorair is economical and seems to be of quality construction. However, the real test will come spring time when the RH is higher but for at least over the winter it will do just fine.

Perfect for heavy duty workshop use
This dehumidifier is a beast! It’s also surprisingly quiet for its size. It's over 50 pounds and pretty heavy, and the water tank is ginormous, and is probably overboard for most basements unless if you're dealing with immense air moisture. Perfect for controlling the humidity in my woodworking basement.

U.S. BRAND??! U.S. COMPANY??! MADE IN CHINA!!!
U.S. BRAND??!U.S. COMPANY??!Unfortunately, the equipment is MADE IN CHINA!!!(SHOWING LOTS OF RED, WHITE, AND BLUE ON THEIR WEBSITE REALLY FOOLED ME.)My dehumidifier displayed an E1 error code the first time it was turned on, right out of the box. My HVAC tech friend removed access panels, located the humidity sensor and determined that it was not wired correctly--no contact on one wire. He fixed that and it turned on. 2 hours later it stopped and displayed an E4 error message. There was nothing wrong with the drain hose placement. This ALOAIR unit didn't work for 1 whole day...and I thought that I was replacing my cheap Friedrich portable unit that ran continuously for 4 years, with something solid. Nope!

As expected, functional
Plug and play. Heavy unit, not very loud. Works as expected and does its intended purpose. Stylish and modern looking as well, which is a plus

Finally Dry!
This dehumidifier is a beast! We had a really damp crawlspace and this thing dried it out in no time. It's easy to use and the pump makes it simple to drain. Highly recommend for anyone with moisture problems in their basement or crawlspace.

This is my second unit of this brand.
They really improve the look, feeling and keep the good functionality. This unit are very fast and less bulkier than the ones you can rent. And they can be used permanently. Honestly i cant find any flaw on the design, other than the cheap look of the older units, now they improve the appearance so if you use it for work, it make a better impression with the customers, and also looks better in your basement. The filter are also better. Absolutely positive value for money ratio.

Excellent performance
I have a separate woodworking room in my basement. I've had a dehumidifier in there for 10+ years, but it has always smelled faintly musty. I decided to get this unit because it appears to be industrial strength. My assumption was correct - it's VERY heavy (60+pounds). It has 2 modes to eliminate water - pump and gravity. I set it up into pump mode and put the exit tube end in a bucket (as opposed to my drain) to make sure everything was working. I set it to the factory 50% humidity. In 12 hours, the bucket had almost a gallon of water. SO, it seems it works lots better than the one I replaced. I expect over a couple of weeks it will remove even more moisture and eliminate the musty smell. Highly recommended.
